    As a Set-Up Crew Tech, you play an important role in creating a memorable experience for our guests by setting up our properties for the new season. We pride ourselves on providing guests with a camping experience that includes all the comforts and luxury of home. Your role is to travel to our exciting sites across the country and once there set-up and/or take-down our accommodations. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes free team member housing while working.

    As a Guest Experience Coordinator, you thrive on engaging with guests, creating extraordinary outdoor experiences, and being a brand ambassador for Under Canvas. This is a seasonal, hourly position that includes free housing! This position is ideal if you love working outdoors for long periods of time.


    SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    Welcome guests as they arrive, confirm their on-site activities, and set the tone for the duration of their stay.

    Share passion, knowledge, and recommendations for activities and attractions to experience in the local community.

    Partner with third-party vendors to coordinate wellness, yoga/pilates, outdoor education, music, art, entertainment, and more.

    Contribute and assist teammates on-site to maintain high standards of camp operations.

    High School Diploma/GED and minimum two years of experience with guest interaction in resorts, hotels, or hospitality.

  • Housekeeper

    General description of purpose:

    Provide guests with a consistently clean and wholesome environment while they stay with Under Canvas. Attend to any additional guest needs as required in order to provide a relaxing and comfortable experience.

    Employee’s responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

    • Acknowledge and greet all guests as you meet them in or around camp
    • Make sure the housekeeping carts are stocked at the beginning and end of each shift with appropriate items
    • Respect the guest’s personal property and privacy
    • Return all guest items that have been left behind to Lost and Found
    • Report any items (furniture, lighting fixtures, etc.…) that are broken or need to be exchanged
    • Collect and/or pick up trash
    • Accomplish all daily assigned tasks
    • Strip beds and remake as needed
    • Dust or wipe down all furniture and fixtures
    • Sweep, mop, and vacuum as needed
    • Thoroughly clean bathrooms
    • Replace all provided toiletries and sundries

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

    • Constant bending, kneeling, standing and walking
    • Ability to continuously lift 25lbs
    • Ability to push a loaded cart tent to tent
    • Enjoy working outdoors in all temperatures and/or weather
    • Communicate well with other housekeepers, managers, and different departments

    If you love the outdoors and you love maintenance and repair work, keep reading!

    As a Facilities Technician, you work closely with the Facilities Supervisor to ensure our glamping location is well-maintained, safe, and operational for our team members and guests. You play an important role in our success by performing daily maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of our tents, amenities, equipment, and property. Depending on the camp location, the nature of work performed will vary from basic upkeep (Facilities Technician II) to more technical functions such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (Facilities Technician I). This is a seasonal, hourly position that includes free housing!

    SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

    -Perform day-to-day maintenance and repair work at a camp location consisting of up to 80 high-quality outdoor tents with plumbing, communal structures with showers and toilets, laundry facilities, restaurants, common areas, fire pits, outdoor activities, and equipment.
    -General upkeep of tents, plumbing systems, propane gas water heaters, stove pipes, decks, trailers, vehicles, generators, solar power equipment and more.
    -This position requires working outdoors, even during inclement weather, for long periods of time.
    -Interact regularly with guests and team members.

    WHAT IT TAKES

    -High School Diploma/GED.
    -Facilities Tech II: Minimum one year of experience performing corrective, preventative, or general maintenance and repair work, preferably in customer-focused, outdoor environments, hotels, or hospitality.
    -Facilities Tech I: Same as Tech II but with two or more years of experience performing work with minimal direction, preferably skilled in plumbing, septic, propane, or generators.
    -Outdoor enthusiast: ability to work long, flexible hours outdoors in heat and cold.
    -Team-player with strong problem-solving skills.

    Our Facility Supervisors take pride in ensuring our glamping locations are operational, safe, functional, and well-maintained so that our guests can fully utilize and enjoy our amenities, tents, and common areas. Situated just minutes away from the country’s most popular national parks, our locations range in size from 40-100 glamping tents, many of which have their own showers, toilets, and wood burning stoves. Reporting directly to the General Manager, and partnering with the Facilities Manager who leads the department, you are an on-site maintenance expert, helping to oversee, train, and perform maintenance tasks along with the Facilities Team.

     

    HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

    Technical Savvy

    • Serve as an on-site maintenance expert for a location with up to 100 high-quality outdoor accommodations with plumbing, communal structures with showers and toilets, laundry facilities, restaurants, common areas, fire pits, outdoor activities, and equipment including golf carts.
    • Help oversee, maintain, and perform day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs to tents, plumbing systems, propane gas water heaters, propane heaters, stove pipes, decks, trailers, vehicles, generators, solar power equipment and more.

    Lead A Small Team to Have A Big Impact

    • Attend regular camp-wide meetings with the management team. Lead regular meetings with your team to provide direction, training, and insight when the Facilities Manager is unavailable.
    • Set direction and work side by side with the Facilities Team, mentoring, modeling performance standards, setting expectations, and holding others accountable.
    • Deliver results to meet short and long-term goals based on multiple factors including safety, resources, and direction from the General Manager.
    • Inspire the team to be engaged and committed to excellence.

    • Knowledge of maintenance budgets and resources.

  • Back of House Supervisor

    As a Back of House Supervisor, you and your team deliver high quality culinary offerings to our guests. You will oversee culinary team members in our café style restaurants, pop up dining experiences, and grab and go operations. You will ensure food safety protocols and standard recipes are followed and provide support to the Back of House Manager with other operational needs. Your goal is for your team to operate efficiently and safely to provide guests with memorable meals.

     

    We cater to a diverse range of guests including groups, families, and individuals varying in age, interests, and with various degrees of comfort in outdoor elements. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes free employee housing for the duration of employment.
