Join our team at Lake Effect Bar and Grill and experience an unforgettable summer in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We are looking for a server who excels in a fast-paced environment and will play a role in building a positive team environment.  

Located at the very end of the Keweenaw Peninsula, Copper Harbor bursts to life in the summer with energy, adventure and breathtaking beauty. If you love being outside this is a summer paradise waiting to be explored. Swim in the crystal-clear water of Lake Superior, relax on the beaches, bike the world class mountain biking trails, explore the miles of untouched forest or relax and watch the sunset. Every day in Copper Harbor is unforgettable.

Qualifications 

• 1–2 years of serving experience preferred (but we will train the right person)

• Friendly, confident, and personable with strong customer service skills

• Ability to move fast, multitask, and stay organized under pressure

• Comfortable standing and working an 8+ hour shift

• Calm, respectful, and welcoming even during peak service

• Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation standards

• A team-first mindset and pride in a job well done 

• Basic bartending knowledge

Housing is $50 a week and you will have your own private room. There are several cottages right next to the restaurant that are all dedicated to staff housing. If you are interested in a campsite that is possibly an option depending on availability. 

Whether it's jumping into Lake Superior, looking for agates, hiking, cliff jumping, fishing or admiring the fall colors. Working at Lake Effect Bar and Grill will be a summer season to remember.
