Reservations Agent:
Reservationists are responsible for promoting and selling Grand Targhee Resort’s lodging, vacation packages, and services while delivering exceptional guest service. This position serves as a primary point of contact for potential guests and plays a key role in creating a positive first impression of the resort. The pay rate for this position is $20.00/hr,
Reservationists assist guests by phone, email, and other communication channels, providing detailed information about lodging options, resort amenities, activities, promotions, and regional attractions. The role requires strong sales skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while ensuring reservations are accurate and guest needs are met.
A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answer the phone and emails.
Assist guests in booking lodging accommodations, vacation packages, and resort services.
Provide detailed and accurate information about lodging options, resort amenities, activities, promotions, regional attractions, and events.
Understand and effectively communicate current rates, packages, promotions, and policies.
Clearly explain reservation policies, cancellation policies, and payment requirements to guests.
Create, modify, and cancel reservations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Send confirmation emails and ensure reservation details are accurate and complete.
Follow up on guest inquiries promptly according to inquiry management procedures.
Review reservations for accuracy, resolve accounting discrepancies, and ensure correct charges and postings.
Process deposits and final payments according to resort policies.
Coordinate with third-party partners and booking platforms to confirm reservations and maintain accurate availability.
Maintain accurate guest and reservation data within RTP (Point of Sale) and Versa (Property Management System).
Work closely with other departments to help promote and sell their products.
Report system issues, discrepancies, or operational concerns to supervisors.
Assist the Management with projects and operational support as needed.
Maintain high standards for quality, professionalism, and guest service.
Stay informed about resort offerings, local events, and regional activities to enhance the guest experience.
Work closely with the Front Desk Agents, including covering the Front Desk at times.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required; previous hospitality, reservations, or customer service experience preferred. Experience with Versa (Property Management System) and RTP (Point of Sale System) preferred; training provided.
QUALIFICATIONS

Front Desk Agent:
Be the welcoming face of our resort! As a Front Desk Agent, you will greet lodging guests, assist with check-ins and check-outs, and help ensure every guest has an exceptional experience. This role requires strong customer service skills, comfort with computers, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The pay rate for this position is $19.00/hr,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Welcome guests and efficiently check them in and out using lodging management software.
Create and manage walk-in reservations and assist guests with booking lodging when availability allows.
Perform daily in-house guest audits and reporting tasks.
Answer incoming phone calls, provide information, and direct calls appropriately as the resort operator.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests, resolving concerns, or escalating issues to a supervisor when necessary.
Maintain knowledge of resort activities, services, and operations to effectively assist guests.
Sell resort products and services, including lift tickets, resort activities, sundry items, and room upgrades when available.
Process retail purchases and activity sales accurately using the resort’s point-of-sale systems.
Accurately process and balance monetary transactions and explain guest folios or receipts when needed.
Work collaboratively with other resort departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk, retail area, and lobby space.
Maintain flexibility with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, day/evening shifts, and possible overnight coverage.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
RESPONSIBILITY TO SAFETY
Protect the safety of self, workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests.
Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort’s Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.
Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others.
Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous guest service or hospitality experience preferred. Comfortable working with computers and lodging software systems. Experience with Agilysys Versa, Inntopia, Expedia and Microsoft Office are preferred but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS
To successfully perform this role, individuals must be able to carry out each essential duty effectively. The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position.
Computer Skills: Extensive computer use is required. Recent experience with computer systems is essential. Experience with sales systems, databases, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
Customer Service: Excellent guest service and communication skills are required.
Cash Handling: Experience processing monetary transactions accurately.
Problem Solving: Ability to remain calm and resolve guest issues professionally.
