Live, work, hike, bike, and cross country ski at a family-owned resort on the edge of the BWCA

Golden Eagle Lodge is a family-owned and operated year-round resort. We value an energetic and positive work environment. Staff are encouraged to take advantage of our location with free use of most rental equipment. A typical work week consists of five 8-hour workdays with two consecutive days off, giving our staff plenty of time to enjoy the area. Both full-time seasonal and full-time year-round positions are open starting immediately. While some individuals may be hired for a specific job, everyone is expected to be flexible and help out where needed, including, but not limited to, participating in housekeeping. 

As a resort, we take pride in providing guests with a high-quality Northwoods experience. This includes keeping cabins well-kept and impeccably clean, both inside and out. We expect our staff to pay attention to even the smallest details and help us uphold our high standards in the cabins and around the resort property. 

Those applying for this role will be given tasks that center around housekeeping and guest services. These includes the following:

• Provide general guest services at the front desk

• Reply to phone calls and emails in a professional manner

• Work as a team to clean cabins
  - Make beds
  - Clean bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and living areas
  - Sweep decks and porches
  - Clean grills and wood stoves
  - Restock wood and kindling boxes
  - Wash windows as needed

• Wash and fold laundry

• Assist with groundskeeping and boat rentals

Individuals applying for this job must have an upbeat and outgoing personality. Working at the front desk, first impressions will be made based on a guest's interaction with you. We want it to be a great interaction! 

At times, all staff may be asked to step in and help with other duties. This might include, but is not limited to: Lawn mowing, boat cleaning, wood splitting/stacking/bundling, campground maintenance, fish house cleaning, tree limbing, and trail maintenance. All staff, including the owners of Golden Eagle Lodge, assist with housekeeping.

The position is open starting the first week of May. Starting wage will be based on previous experience. Seasonal employees who work well with other staff and management are always given the opportunity to become full-time year-round employees. Individuals applying for this position must understand that even housekeeping can, at times, be physically demanding work.
