About Crossed Sabres Ranch

The Ranch, constructed in 1898 by Aron “Tex” Holm, was used as a home base to carry tourists from Cody on camping expeditions into Yellowstone. He formed the Holm Transportation Company and provided transportation to Yellowstone by stagecoach and later by motorbus. The original stagecoach barn still stands on the ranch today. The name “Holm’s Lodge” was later changed to Crossed Sabres Ranch based on the image used for its stock brand. Crossed Sabres is still an ideal place for guests as well as staff as it is located just 8 miles from the East Entrance of Yellowstone and only a short drive to historic Cody, Wyoming.
