YLI exists to accomplish three goals. Foster research opportunities that engage Clemson faculty and immerse Clemson students in solving REAL problems. Create, deliver and evaluate programs that build individual capacity, address needs of communities, and fulfill the outreach mission of Clemson University. Serve as a resource to external agencies, equipping them with the best practice knowledge

YLI has five sites around the state of South Carolina: 2 in the Upstate, 1 on the coast of Charleston, and 2 in the midlands.
