About Chinook Shores Lodge

We provide a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment for people with a passion for outdoor activities in Ketchikan, Alaska. While our main focus is on fishing, there are other outdoor activities to enjoy while employed at the lodge. We require our employees to present themselves in a professional manner at all times. Our business is a service industry and our positions have very high guest exposure. It is important that our employees enjoy people and have a positive attitude, extraordinary manner and high level of courtesy.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate must have great communication skills and sound work ethics; be service-oriented and self-motivated; be healthy, physically fit, drug-free (pre-employment drug testing and random seasonal drug testing is required by U.S.C.G. regulations); non-drinker and non-smoker. We expect our employees to have a professional appearance -- no facial piercings, no facial tattoos, and no color of hair not found in nature.

Room and Board

Employee housing available for non-residents on a limited basis. Some of our employees are local and do not live on site.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Ketchikan, Alaska is just shy of a two hour flight from Seattle on Alaska Airlines. We are on the road system, approximately 15 miles north of the airport and downtown. Our lodge is located near amazing hiking trails and kayaking is easily accessible from our dock. Public transportation (via the Bus) is available from a stop 1/2 mile from our lodge. The road to town is paved and ideal for biking on a path that starts three miles from our lodge.
