Camp Counselor - yup, the job you never thought would tick so many boxes all in one place!

9 weeks. That’s all it is. 9 weeks, having the best summer of your life. You’ll make friends from around the world. Work with incredible children. Learn new skills. Build connections. Find yourself. Experience new things. Travel America. Grow as a person.

A summer camp counselor is the definition of a team player. You’ll spend your summer with an amazing group of kids, you’ll be their role model, helping give them (and yourself) the best summer ever. You are the superhero who doesn’t wear a cape… but some days you might get to!

A camp counselor is the most common role at summer camp. Almost half the staff at Camp IHC fill this incredible position. The role of a camp counselor is to be a big sibling/role model for the campers. You will live in a cabin with 8-16 campers and 3-6 other camp counselors or activity specialists. 

As a camp counselor you get to take part in all the fun camp activities with your campers. You will get your campers ready for the day and excited for absolutely everything.  You get to care for them, help them grow, and just have an off the scale level of fun with them all summer long.

By the end of the summer you will have built the most incredible bonds with each camper and your fellow staff who will become friends for life.

It really is the hardest job you’ll ever love.
