Camp Denali is a fly-in lodge located in the heart of Denali National Park. Our food service team only has one open position for a Dinner Cook, and we are eager to find the right candidate.
Camp Denali is committed to serving wholesome and flavorful food, expertly presented, and prepared using the highest quality local and organic ingredients. We are proud to say that 100% of the meat, poultry, eggs, and seafood served in our dining room are Alaska-grown. Our onsite greenhouse and raised beds are the sources of our very own organic produce.
A team environment characterizes our kitchen - we emphasize cooperation over hierarchy and collaboration over autonomy.
The Dinner Cook position is a food service leadership role. Responsibilities include:
preparing a three-course, plated dinner for approximately 35 guests
preparing a buffet-style meal for approximately 40 staff members
washing dishes and cleaning the workspace during and after every meal
communicating clearly and consistently with staff
promoting a collaborative team environment
maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
being responsible for food preparation tasks
promoting our mission statement
being an engaged member of our small community
Our dining room is the place our guests come to engage and connect with one another. Guests share and reflect on the inspirational experience of being immersed in the backcountry of Denali over nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals.
We're looking for a Dinner Cook who is excited about being part of a small, thriving community and interested in working in a cooperative and professional kitchen. You'll do well here if you also have a desire to explore Denali National Park, disconnect from technology, and share in creating an experience for our guests that is beyond compare.
Pay begins at $22.00 per hour / $33.00 per OT hour. Room and board are provided at no charge for the duration of the summer. Tips are pooled and divided evenly among staff, averaging approximately $800/month. Uniform allowance is provided each season. A travel stipend rounds out our compensation package and is paid on completion of a full summer season.
Applicants should have full-season availability, from May 24 through September 15, 2026.

Camp Denali
Camp Denali is a wilderness lodge, located in the heart of Denali National Park, Alaska. We have been family-owned and operated since day one, back in 1952. Our founders envisioned a guest experience that centered on experiential learning about nature and cultural heritage long before "ecotourism" was popularized.
