Currently recruiting for the season from November 20th, 2026 to March 14th, 2027.

Founded in 1962, and family-owned, Appalachian Ski Mtn. is more than just a resort it is a North Carolina High Country institution. As the first ski area in the region, we've spent decades teaching families to fall in love with skiing. We are known for world-class snowmaking and excellence in our instruction, facilities, terrain parks and menu offerings.

Located at 4000 feet and overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, we are in the middle of an area that is a recreation mecca with the region's best known hiking trails and the cultural diversity and offerings of Appalachian State University that is 5 minutes away. The Boone Blowing Rock area has more restaurant dining options than any other ski resort area in the Eastern United States.
