Yellowstone Club’s Culinary department is currently seeking candidates for a Baker Assistant for this upcoming summer season. 

Purpose: To assist the head baker with all baking production.

  • Assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.

  • Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures.

  • In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the General Manager or Human Resources immediately. 

  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.

Essential Job Functions: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.   • Must be able to work overnight shift 

  • Manage delivery logistics of bakery products to all restaurant outlets

  • Work with the head baker to with the core processes listed below:

  • Viennoiserie (croissants, danish, puff pastry)

  • Sourdough (naturally leavened breads, high hydration doughs)

  • Baguettes ( mix, shape and bake)

  • Donuts (Multiple varieties, including cake and some GF)

  • Quick breads (muffins, coffee cakes)

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists. 

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use. 

  • Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.

Experience/Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree; Certificate in culinary arts or relevant field; 6+ years as a line cook; 3+ years of staff management experience or equivalent; Comprehensive knowledge of world class hospitality and service management. 

Experience/Education Preferred:

Experience as a Baker in both independent operations and luxury hotels is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is constantly required to use their vision to perform an activity such as but not limited to determining the accuracy, neatness, attention to detail, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
