  • Adventure Guide

    Guide
    $5,000.00 - $7,000.00 / season + tips

    Outdoor Adventure Guide: Visualize yourself on a team of high energy, upbeat, fun loving people who love the outdoors and our picturesque properties in northern Wisconsin. You would live at no charge in rustic housing and work in the middle of a pine tree forest Each day, we work hard providing our guests with unforgettable experiences.

    Specific Skills: Exceptional personal communication skills. First aid and CPR training is required. Experience in outdoor adventure activities and First responder/EMT certifications a plus. No experience necessary. On the job training (related to each activity) is available for all of the outdoor adventures we offer. Some heavy lifting required.

    Who We Are: We’re an independent, and innovative outdoor adventure company with a 30+ year track record of success. We have two locations and entertain and lead groups in activities from both locations like whitewater rafting, stand up paddle boarding, high ropes course, rock climbing, kayaking, zip-lining, paintball, and golf. We also offer a bar, restaurant, a variety of lodging, meal packages and a small retail store.

    Where you'll be working: In the great Wisconsin Wilderness! You will spend very little time indoors and instead you'll be on the river, on the trail, or in the forest. We have two locations from which we run trips 40 miles apart. Guides will be required to work at both locations, so be prepared to travel. Many of our guides don’t feel like this is work. They love their jobs and the guests see it. We often gather as a team for dinner and various team building activities such as Ultimate Frisbee, sand volleyball or a pie eating contest.

    When Your Here: This is a full-time position, with opportunities for side jobs and increased hours for the right person. Our peak season is Memorial Day through Labor Day. You will be expected to be here for as much of that time as possible. Actual work hours can be somewhat flexible and will start averaging around 20-40 hours per week. Because we are the busiest on the weekends, you can plan to be guiding almost every weekend.

    What You Can Expect From Us: We are very focused on creating an exceptional guest experience, need to think quickly and to problem solve without the guests ever knowing about any problems that may arise. You must be able to stay composed and positive at all times when dealing with guests, which means we'll be expecting a lot from you. We have high expectations of ourselves and our staff, and will place a lot of responsibility in your hands. Starting pay for this position will range from $8/hr-$14/hr, depending on experience, plus tips. There is a 30-day trial/training period and compensation is based entirely on the person’s demonstrated value to the organization and investment in the company’s success.

  • Adventure Sales Consultant

    Guest Services: It's not your typical desk job! Think about the adventure of working and living in the outdoors this summer. Surrounding yourself with other high energy, upbeat, fun loving people who love the outdoors.  Work this summer in the middle of a pine tree forest in rustic housing with a team of people who have a desire to create lasting memories for our guests. We work hard planning vacations and providing our guests unforgettable experiences.

    Specific Skills: Exceptional personal, written, and phone communication skills. Attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines. Sales interest and or experience a plus. Ability and desire to contribute to the company's growth. Ability to adapt and work well in a fast pace environment. Willingness to learn.

We work with guests from across the Midwest, throughout the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world offering vacation experiences that are unique and adventurous.     Where You'll Be Working: We have a professional, yet fun and casual office environment in the wilderness of northern Wisconsin. We are located in the towns of Silver Cliff and Niagara. Our two river locations are 40 miles apart and our offices and activities are split between the two locations. We often gather as a team for dinner and various team building activities such as ultimate frisbee, volleyball or a pie eating contest.

    When Your Here: This is a full time summer position. Our peak season lies between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. You will be expected to be here for as much of that time as possible. You will start averaging around 30-40 hours per week, then increasing to a consistent 40 hours per week.  We are the busiest on the weekends, therefore you should plan to be interacting with our guests mostly every weekend. Plan to participate in all of our adventures if you would like. 

    What You Can Expect From Us: We are very focused on creating an extraordinary guest experience and to do this we must be able to think quickly and problem solve without the guests ever knowing about any problems that may arise. You must be able to stay composed and positive at all times when dealing with guests, which means we'll be expecting a lot from you. We offer an open line of communication. We have high expectations of our staff, and will place a lot of responsibility in your hands. Salary for this position will start at $9.50/hour. Housing and some meals are also included. There is a 30-day trial/training period, and compensation is based on how one demonstrates value to the organization and invests in the company’s success.   • Bar Manager

    $14.00 - $18.00 / hour

    Spend the season (April 25th through October 2nd) at our high energy adventure resort and golf course, A self starter will flourish in this position. Someone who will train and oversee staff and operations of a bar by making sure it's clean, fun, functioning efficiently and inviting. Demonstrates leadership and follows safety regulations. Ensures a well stocked inventory and top notch customer service. Focuses on sales and opportunities and making sure our guests have a wonderful experience. Experience preferred and serve safe manager certification required prior to start date.

  • Bartender

    Food and Beverage
    $8.00 / hour + tips

    Bartender / Golf Event Organizer: On the Wildman Adventure Resort property we have a 9 hole golf course, bar and restaurant. Guests gather here in-between adventure trips viewing photos of their trips and playing a round of golf. We cater to our adventure guests, the local community and our golf members. Starting salary is $8 per hour plus tips.

    As a bartender, you would be responsible for:

    • Creating a connection with customers and providing timely service and an excellent experience to our guests. • Taking orders, mixing and serving drinks and collecting money.

    • Prepare light food and assist kitchen staff while delivering food in a fast paced environment.

    • Maintaining a clean bar, bathroom, work area and tables. • Inventorying stock and ordering supplies as needed. • Greeting and checking golfers in and out.

    • Organizing special events such as golf outing or golf tournaments.

    The right person is an honest, high energy, friendly and professional with a desire to connect well with others. We are looking for someone self motivated and able to work independently with good communication skills. Experience is preferred but we will train the right person. Golf knowledge is a plus. An ideal candidate, loves to work with people, show our guests a good time and wants to have fun on the job. You are empowered to get creative and mix and name your own drinks. Have your very own adventure signature cocktail! When our adventure trips are over, the crowd heads to the bar to view photos and talk about the highlights of their trip. When our guests are out on trips the bar is much quieter. Many times you will need to take charge to make good use of your time. The position is full time or can be a great way to mix things up and maximize your income potential when paired with guiding or customer service.   • Housekeeper

    For the success of our business, it is critical that we have a strong housekeeping team. Clean cabins make for happy guests and excellent reviews. Attention to detail and taking pride in your job makes this job a rewarding one. This 10-20 hours/week is often shared with another job within the company to maximize your summer experience at Wildman and your income potential. With this job comes great responsibility and leadership opportunities. We hope you will consider joining the housekeeping team. No experience necessary, starting salary is $10.00/hour plus tips. Rustic staff housing is included.

  • Photographer/Action

    Photography Sales
    $3,500.00 - $5,000.00 / season

    (must have DSLR camera) Wildman Adventure Resort is all about action and we want you to capture it. You will interact with our guests before and after their trips. Group photos will get the energy started. Then, from the banks of the river you will photograph each boat of 8 people as they experience class 3 and 4 rapids from a 16 foot whitewater raft. Later, you will display your photos from the bar while each person relives that incredible moment. Your pay includes a flat rate for every rafting trip you photograph plus a commission for each USB you sell from that trip. These sales are typically quite easy to obtain. This is a full time position and very rewarding. You must own your own DSLR camera. Sales experience a plus however, we are happy to train. Drivers license required. Hourly pay plus commission. 

  • Adventure Bus Driver

    up to $14.00 / hour + tips

    Join the Wildman team as our experienced bus driver for our rafting trips! We are looking for an enthusiastic driver with a valid CDL to take our guests to their rafting put-in and pick them up after their adventure.
