The Whitefish Riverfront Hotel located in beautiful Whitefish, MT, is seeking Housekeeping Attendants and a Housekeeping Inspector to join our team.
HOUSEKEEPING ATTENDANT: PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:
A housekeeper is responsible for ensuring rooms and other areas of the hotel are kept clean everyday while ensuring housekeeping departmental standards are followed. Cleaning includes, but is not limited to, making beds, replacing used towels with new ones, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and ensuring new toiletries provided by the hotel are placed at appropriate areas. Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs cleaning duties in all guest areas and back of house.
Use of Maid Cart when cleaning rooms as well as maintaining inventory of necessary supplies.
Emptying garbage, removing linens and towel.
Remaking bed with fresh linens and restocking room with towels, amenities, etc.
Reports necessary maintenance issues to Front Office so a work order is made.
Follows departmental policies and procedures.
Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
Operating Housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, mops, maid cart, etc.
Ability and willingness to adhere to all Averill Hospitality policies and ensure departmental personnel compliance.
Must maintain a positive influence in the community and positive relations with area vendors.

HOUSEKEEPING INSPECTOR:
POSITIONS RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for the cleanliness and appearance of guest accommodations and public space and to ensure each member of the housekeeping team carries out their assignments abiding by standards. Responsible for all housekeeping cleanliness standards The Housekeeping Inspector will be responsible for but not limited to handling and directing guest complaints concerning housekeeping, notifying maintenance of any needed repairs, approving rooms for occupancy and ensure room is 100% prior to placing it into the system, responsible for keeping all storage and linen rooms in a clean and satisfactory condition as well as stocked with needed items, etc.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES: Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
Ability to read, speak and understand the English language
At least two years of experience in a housekeeping or laundry role
A positive and friendly attitude towards guests, customers, and fellow employees
Must be extremely detailed with outstanding communication skills
Ability to follow directions both written and verbally
Integrity to safeguard confidential information
Demeanor to remain calm in tense or stressful situations
Initiative to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Flexible schedule
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on occasion
Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 100 pounds
SCHEDULE / HOLIDAYS / PTO
The Housekeeping Inspector is expected to normally keep a 5 day a week schedule but adjusted as needed according to occupancy and business need and be available for peak guest times and/or in the event of an emergency.
