Our culinary program celebrates ranch hospitality with elevated Western cuisine, open-fire cooking, locally sourced ingredients, and unforgettable guest experiences.
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and creative Sous Chef to join our culinary team and help lead our kitchen operations.
Position Summary
The Sous Chef works directly alongside the Chef de Cuisine to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong culinary skills, organization, and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
Assist the Chef de Cuisine with all aspects of kitchen operations.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff while fostering a positive team culture.
Prepare and execute breakfast, lunch, and dinner service for ranch guests and special events.
Assist with menu development, recipe creation, and seasonal offerings.
Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
Manage food ordering, inventory, and proper storage procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization while adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
Assist with catering, weddings, special dinners, and ranch events.
Step into the leadership role and manage the kitchen in the Chef de Cuisine’s absence.
Qualifications
Previous culinary and kitchen leadership experience preferred.
Experience in resorts, lodges, ranches, or high-volume restaurants preferred.
Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, including grilling and open-fire cooking.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Food Safety Certification preferred.
Passion for Western hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
