UXU Ranch – Now Hiring Wranglers for the 2026 Season!

We’re looking for hardworking, horse-savvy, guest-friendly EXPERIENCED Wranglers who take pride in their work, support their team, and help create unforgettable guest experiences. If you love long days outdoors, care deeply for horses, and thrive in a close-knit ranch community, we’d love to talk with you.
Season: June 1st – September 15 (+/-)
Compensation: Salary based on experience + tips
Includes: Room & board
Other Perks: Clothing discount, rodeo passes, whitewater rafting, fishing discounts
Requirements: Valid driver’s license
Bonus Skills: Roping, bartending
Restrictions: No pets, no smoking
What You’ll Do
🐎 Horse Care & Herd Management
Feed, water, groom, and monitor horse health
Condition and train horses for guest riding
Help wrangle horses in and out of pasture
🔧 Barn, Tack & Ranch Maintenance
Maintain tack, saddles, and gear
Keep corrals, barns, horse areas and stalls clean and organized
Assist with trail upkeep, fence repair, hay & manure handling and disposal
Support airport pickups and guest transportation
Assist with ranch activities and guiding
🤠 Guest Services & Instruction
Lead safe, enjoyable trail rides for all experience levels
Provide riding safety instruction and horsemanship guidance
Assist with mounting, tack adjustments, and safety briefings
Share your knowledge of the area, horses, wildlife, and ranch life
Guiding involvement with BB Gun Range, fishing, roping, nightly fireside activities.
👨👩👧 Children’s & Specialty Activities
Help with age-appropriate kids’ activities
Support ranch programs including, storytelling, roping demonstrations
Bonus: If you can 2-step or country swing, even better!
🏕 Hospitality & General Ranch Support
Welcome guests and foster a friendly, inclusive ranch community
Pitch in with ranch events, activities, and occasional kitchen or guest-services support
Uphold ranch safety standards (CPR/First Aid a plus)
Assist positively and effectively during emergencies
Who We’re Looking For
Confident EXPERIENCED riders with strong horsemanship skills
Positive, team-oriented individuals
Hard workers who take initiative and pride in a job well done
Friendly, patient communicators who enjoy working with guests of all ages
Wranglers who are DRA-certified — or willing to be certified upon arrival
Individuals who represent UXU respectfully and professionally on and off the ranch
