  • Head Housekeeper/Dining Room Supervisor

    Housekeeping and Food Service

    The head housekeeper takes the lead in keeping the ranch facilities clean with the help of another housekeeper.  Will also oversee 3-4 staff on Saturday change-over day.  Dining room supervisor duties include set-up for meals, serving of meals and organizing clean-up, supervising 1-2 staff, and providing excellent service to guests during meals. 

    Daily housekeeping responsibilities include tidying guest cabins, lodge, and common areas of the ranch – changing towels, making & changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, taking out the trash, vacuuming, washing windows, dusting, and various other cleaning-related activities.  Saturdays are our change-over day, and all ranch staff helps clean the ranch and team together to clean the cabins (checklists for each cabin).

    Dining room duties include but are not limited to serving food to guests and staff in our dining room or at outdoor meals and functions, clearing after meals, cleaning of the dining room, and packing for cookouts.  Some minor food preparation may also be involved.  If not needed in the kitchen, maybe helping with the gift shop, working in the yard, doing grounds maintenance, or any other duties assigned.  
     

  • Housekeeper/Server

    Housekeeping and Food Service

    This position works in both housekeeping and the kitchen. Housekeeping duties include cleaning the lodge and guest cabins & occasional yard work. Also assists with table setting, serving guests, washing dishes, helping to keep the kitchen clean and organized. It requires someone who is in good physical health, flexible, and able to work productively with or without supervision. There will be a lot of interaction with both guests and other staff.  We look for mature, outgoing staff who have a ready smile, are willing to work hard, have fun, and love the outdoors and people.

    As with most dude ranches, we compensate in several ways.  You will receive full room and board, a monthly salary, gratuities, and the opportunity to work and play in a spectacular setting. 

  • Ranch Wrangler

    $1,500.00 / month + tips

    The Wrangler staff is responsible for the education, safety, and enjoyment of our guest riding program and care of our horses and livestock. This position requires a motivated, honest, and flexible individual with great customer service skills who can work productively with or without supervision and will act immediately as circumstances arise. Wranglers saddle up to 30 horses a day; therefore, must be in good physical health with the ability to lift at least 60 lbs. Horse experience with knowledge of basic vet care, shoeing, horse training, and general use of tools and repair is required. Wranglers present a neat, clean appearance with a western-style dress of cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and collared shirts. Must bring your saddle and RIDE FOR THE BRAND.   
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •    Gathering, feeding, saddling and preparing horses for rides
    •    Instruct our western riding program to guests, lead trail rides 
    •    Caring for sick and injured horses
    •    Maintain and clean tack, ensuring that all is safe and in good working order, repair as needed
    •    Clean and maintain barn area, corrals, arena, trails, and ranch grounds
    •    Move hay, seed & harvest barley fodder daily to feed to horses
    •    Assist with weekly gymkhana games, team penning, and other guest activities such as hiking, fishing, or trap shooting – or any other guest need that arises with a smile on your face
    •    Maintain equipment, fix broken equipment, and be safety conscious
    •    Fence building or repair
    •    Willing to perform other duties such as yard work, trash removal, painting, dishwashing, etc. when needed
    •    Have a great sense of humor!
     

  • Wrangler/Green Horse Trainer

  • Wrangler/Mule Packer/Hunting Guide

    • Packing mules and horses on pack-trips and hunts into the Bob Marshall Wilderness

    • Guiding hunters during hunting season

    • Gathering, feeding, saddling, and preparing horses for rides

    • Instruct our western riding program to guests, lead trail rides

    • Extensive groundwork, riding and training of green horses

    • Caring for sick and injured horses

    • Maintain and clean tack, ensuring that all is safe and in good working order, repair as needed

    • Clean and maintain barn area, corrals, arena, trails, and ranch grounds

    The Head Wrangler is a leader at the barn. Wrangler staff are responsible for the education, safety, and enjoyment of our guest riding program and care of our horses and livestock. This position requires a motivated, honest, and flexible individual with great customer service skills who can work productively with or without supervision and will act immediately as circumstances arise. Wranglers saddle up to 40 horses a day; therefore, must be in good physical health with ability to lift at least 60 lbs. Horse experience with knowledge and experience in vet care, shoeing, horse training and general use of tools and repair is required. Wranglers present a neat, clean appearance with western style dress of cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and collared shirts. Must bring your saddle and RIDE FOR THE BRAND.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Giving instruction to barn employees

    • Management of barn activities & livestock

    • Gathering, feeding, saddling, and preparing horses for rides

    • Instruct our western riding program to guests, lead trail rides

    • Caring for sick and injured horses

    • Medicating/providing veterinary care to livestock when instructed

    • Maintain and clean tack, ensuring that all is safe and in good working order, repair as needed

    • Clean and maintain barn area, corrals, arena, trails and ranch grounds

  • Assistant Cook

    $2,000.00 / month + tips

    This position supervises all activities associated with staff breakfast and prepares daily baked goods.

    This includes, but is not limited to these responsibilities:

    • Prepares 6:30 am breakfast for 10-12 staff

    • Assists Head Chef with 8:30 am breakfast for 15-20 guests

    • Daily baking of homemade breads, desserts, cookies, etc.

    • Assists Chef with sack lunches, any prep work, etc. as needed.

    • Assists in serving meals family, plated or buffet style in the dining room or at our cookout site.

    • Assists with handling of storage of leftover items, cleaning of kitchen after meals.

    • Helps manage food and supplies inventories.

    • Keeps the kitchen clean and sanitary at all times.

    • When the Head Cook is off, will be in charge of the kitchen, staff & food.

    • Helps out other staff when needed to get the job done to provide guests with a safe and delightful ranch experience.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong conscientious work ethic and positive attitude

    • Extensive baking and general cooking experience preferred.

    • Individual who is flexible, organized, able to plan and manage, and can work well with others in a high paced environment. The kitchen staff must collaborate, plan and generally get along VERY well. Must be able to interact with guests in a friendly and social manner.

    • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and stand on feet for up to 8 hours a day

  • All-Around

    Housekeeping and Food Service

    This enthusiastic, engaging person helps out wherever needed in the kitchen, cabins or yard are. Responsible for keeping the lodge clean, orderly with a pleasing presentation. Duties include table settings for snacks, drinks, appetizers, and meals; assisting in the office as needed; assisting customers in the gift shop and keeping it organized and supplied.

    Other duties may include yard work, painting, photography, helping with guest activities, or shuttling guests. Because of the various duties that may change day to day, this position requires someone who is mature, flexible, and able to work productively without supervision; or able to take direct supervision from others in each department. Must be a motivated individual in good physical health who will have a lot of interaction with both guests and crew; therefore, an outgoing personality. Must be safety conscious and have a clean driving record and able to act immediately as circumstances arise.

We hire employees who can work from early to mid May through August 21. If you must leave before August 21, please do not apply!  Our ranch season runs through September so there are some positions that we will only hire employees that can stay through the entire season, departing late September.
