This Position:

The Amphitheatre Front of House Manager will have the primary responsibility of training, scheduling and supervising all Medora Musical front of house staff. They will also ensure excellent customer service and safety while resolving guest problems at the Burning Hills Amphitheatre (BHA).

  • Schedule and supervise staff for all front of house positions at the BHA

  • Account for all hours reported on time sheets for front of house employees and ensure accuracy to submit to TRMF accounting staff for payroll.

  • Ensure excellent customer service and customer safety with all guests at the BHA

  • Assist the Director of Volunteer Programs with assigning volunteers and training them on their nightly duties

  • Know the placement of all emergency equipment in case of emergency

  • Be familiar with BHA safety procedures and protocols 

  • Maintain inventory on necessary equipment and supplies

Supervisory Requirements:

  • Train and supervise all theater operations staff, as well as nightly volunteers.

 Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Provide consistent, excellent customer service.

  • Reliable, on time, and ready for every shift.

  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time. 

Required Education and Experience

  • Must be willing to wear a headset, and respond quickly if needed. 

  • Previous theater front of house experience required.

  • Previous Guest Service Experience preferred.

  • Must be able to operate POS system, or willing to learn.

  • Must possess math skills sufficient to make changes for customers quickly and accurately

  • Must be fluent in English, bilingual a plus.

Work Environment

This position is generally working outside in hot conditions when working the Medora Musical but may be inside buildings when needed.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to talk, hear, hand/eye coordination, stand, walk, have repetitive use of hands and arms, and grasp.  Visual acuity to determine accuracy, details and transcribe data, determine neatness and thoroughness of work assigned, and determine safety of workplace surroundings for themselves and guests.  Occasionally required to push, pull, stoop, bend, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Sunday through Saturday.  Shifts vary based on business needs and the needs of the customer.
