Situated on the northeast coast of North Carolina, The Town of Kitty Hawk is right in the center of a barrier island chain off known as the Outer Banks. Best known for the Wright brothers, aviation pioneers credited with the world's first successful motor operated airplane, Kitty Hawk is now a popular beach destination, hosting over 40,000 visitors per year.
