Looking for a unique opportunity in a breathtaking mountain town? The Timberline, a newly renovated boutique motel in Leadville, Colorado, is hiring for a hybrid role that combines guest experience management and hands-on cleaning responsibilities. Nestled at 10,200 feet in the heart of one of Colorado's most historic and scenic towns, The Timberline is a place where guests come to hike, ski, bike, and explore — and where our small, dedicated team takes pride in creating warm, thoughtful stays that feel personal and well cared for.
If you enjoy variety in your work, take pride in attention to detail, and love connecting with people, this could be the perfect fit for you!
About the Role
This hybrid position splits your week between two key roles:
Guest Experience Manager (2 days/week): You'll be the friendly, organized point of contact for guests, handling check-ins, check-outs, and ensuring the daily rhythm of the property runs smoothly.
Cleaning & Laundry Team Member (3 days/week): You'll play a hands-on role in preparing rooms, managing linens, and ensuring every space is guest-ready.
This is a year-round position with a flexible start date (ideally mid-August). The pace varies with the seasons — busier in summer and winter, lighter in the shoulder seasons — making it a great fit for someone with outside interests or a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience Manager (2 days/week — $150/day, on call)
Checkout Management: Ensure guest bills are accurate and closed in our property management system (Mews).
Check-In Support: Confirm room readiness, inspect rooms, and send access codes.
Guest Communication: Respond promptly and kindly to messages and requests across platforms like Hello Hotel, Gmail, Airbnb, and more.
Public Spaces: Set up and reset courtyard elements (e.g., fire pits, blankets, s'mores kits).
Local Recommendations: Share your favorite Leadville spots to help guests make the most of their stay.
Cleaning & Laundry Team (3 days/week — $16/hour)
Room Turns: Clean and reset rooms to our high standards.
Laundry: Wash, dry, fold, and restock linens.
Restocking: Replenish room supplies, amenities, and mini bars.
Quality Checks: Ensure each room meets our standards before marking it ready in Mews.
Team Communication: Coordinate with the team on room status and priorities via Slack.
What We're Looking For
At least 1 year of experience in a relevant role.
A warm, communicative personality for guest-facing tasks.
Hands-on, detail-oriented approach for cleaning and laundry duties.
Curiosity and a proactive mindset to learn new tools and improve processes.
Flexibility to adapt to the rhythm of busy and quieter seasons.
No prior experience with tools like Mews, Hello Hotel, or RemoteLock is required — we’re happy to provide training! Familiarity is a plus, but a willingness to learn is what matters most.
Benefits & Perks
Housing: A private room in our shared house at 112 East 2nd Street, with utilities and internet covered. You'll share common spaces (kitchen, living areas) with other team members.
Phone Stipend: $30/month to help cover your phone bill.
Flexible Schedule: Exact days are set with the team based on the season and property needs.
Time Off: We’re happy to accommodate time off and travel during quieter periods.
Why Join The Timberline?
At The Timberline, we believe in creating a workplace that feels good to be in — fun, kind, and genuinely supportive. We want every guest to feel deeply welcome, and that starts with building a happy, healthy team. As part of our small hospitality crew, you'll have the chance to make a real impact, gain a full understanding of how the property operates, and help us create memorable stays for every guest.
If you're someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety in their day, and loves being part of a small, tight-knit team, we'd love to hear from you!
