Grant’s Restaurant & Bar in Stowe, VT is seeking a dependable, experienced Line Cook with strong grill station experience to join our kitchen team full-time. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced dinner service, takes pride in consistency and presentation, and works well as part of a professional kitchen team.
Located inside The Stowe Village Inn, Grant’s serves elevated comfort food with seasonal ingredients in a welcoming and energetic atmosphere. Our menu includes steaks, burgers, seafood, seasonal specials, and classic dinner favorites prepared with attention to detail and quality.
Position Details
Full-time position — 40 hours per week
Schedule: 2:00 PM to close
Weekend and holiday availability required
Competitive pay based on experience

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items to recipe specifications and presentation standards
Operate and manage the grill station during dinner service
Cook steaks, burgers, seafood, and other proteins accurately to temperature
Season and plate food properly and consistently
Assist with prep work, station setup, and breakdown
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout service
Communicate effectively with chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods
Ensure all food is prepared and plated in a timely manner
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
Work with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef on inventory, order lists, and daily prep lists
Assist with closing duties and kitchen cleanup
Required Skills & Qualifications
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Minimum 2 years of line cook experience preferred
Strong grill cook experience required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Comfortable working in a smaller kitchen space
Knowledge of proper cooking temperatures and food handling procedures
Experience with sauté, fry, and prep stations is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stay organized and multitask during high-volume service
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
