The Cookery in Seward, Alaska is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to help led one of Alaska's most respected coastal kitchens. Owned and operated by Chef Kevin Lane, a 2025 James Beard semifinalist, and his wife Stacey. The Cookery has built a reputation for thoughtful, ingredient driven food and warm hospitality.  We focus on fresh Alaska seafood, oysters, locally sourced meats and produce, and scratch cooking in a lively dining room that welcomes both locals and travelers from around the world.

The Kitchen We're Building - at the Cookery we believe great restaurants are built by teams that care deeply about food, hospitality, and each other. Our kitchen works with incredible Alaska seafood, oysters, locally raised meats, and seasonal ingredients from regional farms. We're looking for a chef who takes pride in their craft, helps lead a talented team, and contributes ideas in a kitchen where creativity and collaboration are valued.

The Role - Lead kitchen service and maintain food quality and consistency. Manage ordering, Inventory,  and vendor relationships. Train, mentor and schedule kitchen staff.

What We're Looking For - Strong cooking fundamentals and leadership experience. Organized and calm under pressure. Passion for seasonal ingredients and seafood. Ability to lead with professionalism and respect. Interest in contributing creative ideas and specials.
