The Continental Divide is a casual fine dining restaurant located in the historic town of Ennis, Montana. All of our menu items are prepared from scratch using local ingredients. The restaurant supports a wide variety of local Montana businesses and our menu is compiled using a variety of fresh seafood flown in weekly as well as local Montana Wagyu beef.
Locaed in the lower Madison River Valley in southwest Montana just an hour and a half from Yellowstone National Park and one hour southeast of Bozeman.

About The Continental Divide
The Continental Divide opened in 1982 by Jay & Karen Bentley & quickly created a reputation for fine food in the small town of Ennis, MT. The restaurant was passed on to Eric Trapp in 1999 who proceeded to build on & refine the restaurant with a larger wine list and an emphasis on game & seafood menu items. In 2019, the restaurant was fully renovated under new ownership & has continued to maintain its stellar reputation for food & service.
This is a great opportunity to live & work in the famed Madison Valley of Montana! On days off, grab a tube & float down the Madison River or catch a monster trout while fly-fishing along the river’s winding banks. There are countless hikes & drives to explore in Montana’s surrounding public lands & Yellowstone National Park is only a short drive away. It’s the perfect town to get away from it all, without compromising on any conveniences.
The Continental Divide is seeking a culinary professional to help oversee the daily operations of the kitchen along with the Chef. Our menu is a well rounded and is made up of fresh seafood flown in weekly as well as locally sourced Montana raised bison and wagyu beef.
Our restaurant is headed into its fifth summer season under the current Chef and is riding a very positive wave. The restaurant's reputation is rapidly growing and has been toted as one of the best restaurants in southwest Montana.

Room and Board
Employee housing is available at a very nominal cost. Housing is located just a mile from the workplace making the commute a breeze.
Meals are available at the restaurant at a 50% discount from the menu.
Housing is provided in a large house that has been converted into separate quarters with individual access. Each apartment offers an individual bathroom, kitchen and bedroom. Monthly rent is affordable and high-speed internet is available at a small surcharge. We have yet to find a cellular service that does not work well in our area.
There is a laundry room attached to the house that is general use for all employees.

Getting Here and Getting Around
Having your own vehicle is the most convenient option for getting around Ennis and the surrounding area.
As the commute from the house to the workplace is only just over a mile. the small town does not offer bus or uber services. It is possible to coordinate a ride system for transportation to and from the workplace.
For Fun
Our location in Southeastern Montana provides a variety of options for recreation during your time off. We are located in the Madison Valley within walking distance of the Madison River. The Madison is known for some of the best fishing in the country.
Many, many options are available for getting out into the great outdoors. Some of the things one can do in our area:
Yellowstone National Park is 80 miles south - There are several hot springs to visit within a short drive - We have many guide services in Ennis that can coordinate fishing and float trips on the Madison River - Big Sky and Bozeman are just an hour's drive - the surrounding mountains offer exceptional opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, camping and just simply getting out into nature.

Culinary Supervisor/Sous Chef
The Continental Divide Restaurant in Ennis, MT, is looking for a culinary professional who is excited about furthering their career by cooking and learning alongside the restaurant's world-class Executive Chef. Whether you're just starting out on your culinary journey, or you're experienced and want to work in a creative and positive kitchen environment, this position could be for you! ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a motivated and positive person who shares our passion for delivering the highest quality food and service. Ideally the candidate is a team player who can take direction and wants to learn and grow in their culinary journey. In addition, the candidate is someone who is proactive and has an understanding of basic cooking skills.
Full time Seasonal position Present - October.
