The Alaska Gift Company is seeking some adventurous souls to join our Denali team for the summer season. When you feel like you need to get away for a while, return to nature - come to Denali. You’ll have a summer you won’t soon forget. 

It ain't for everyone… but it might be right for you. 

Time Frame:

1st week of May 2026 to 3rd week of September 2026

Room and Board (Food and Shelter):

Room and board is included for all of our full-time staff.

RV Option:

Do you have your own home on wheels? Would you like to spend the summer camped near Denali National Park? For the right couple or individual, we have an RV space with full septic, water, and electric hookups. Inquire if this may be of interest for further details. 

Employee Experience:

Schedules are set to make sure everyone gets the hours they need, and a couple days off. The schedules remain consistent throughout the summer (unless covering illness, etc), so you’ll always have the same hours and days off. We are looking for folks who work well in small teams and who possess the independence and initiative to do all aspects of store operation with minimal oversight. Expected duties include everything from basic inventory and restocking to customer engagement and sales.

A regular day may include: 

• Opening (or closing) a store

• Operating Point of Sale System (easy to use touchscreen)

• Doing inventory

• Ringing up customers

• Resetting Displays

• Organizing/cleaning 

• Half-hour breaks for lunch/dinner

Overtime is sometimes available to those who are looking to increase their hours.

Pay / Compensation:

Beyond our scintillating conversation and company, we do also offer ready money:

$16-$20 / hr (Includes the Season End Bonus)

There is also sick pay (which pays out as bonus if not used).

• … has a wee bit of patience (answering the same question 1000 times will test it).

About The Alaska Gift Company:

We are a family of local Alaskans who have several stores in Denali. The stores carry an assortment of jewelry, custom knives, alpaca accessories, custom wood carvings, souvenirs, etc. We have unique items that allow visitors to commemorate their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Alaska. But it's more than the stuff... it's the people that make us different.

Most of our employees are returning - but we are looking for a couple more. Specifically, we look for some unique, fun folks who want to explore and discover the meaning of life, as we greet travelers on their journeys.  

Travel:

• Fairbanks International Airport is the closest to Denali (about 2 hours away). We can pick you up from the airport and get you to Denali. Let us know if you need any assistance in getting your flight.

• Drive the ALCAN highway, arrive to mile 248.5 George Parks Highway.  Make sure you're well prepared and have all your necessary documents to cross the Canadian border.
