  • Activity Director

    REPORTS TO

    Resort Manager, Guest Services Supervisor and/or Operations Manager

     

    GENERAL DUTIES

    Provide guests with knowledge of the local area, assist in planning and organizing and booking offsite adventures.  Manage, plan and implement a structured recreation program onsite that involves both self-directed activities as well as organized activities.

     

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Educate guests on recreational and cultural options in the area.
    • Maintain and update the Outfitter Guidebook which will offer a varied selection of activities for our guests both on and off property
    • Arrange, reserve and confirm activities for guests as requested in a timely manner with proper follow-up and attention to detail. 
    • Manage the guest equipment rental and gear lending programs
    • Assess staffing needs for various daily, weekly and monthly recreational activities and work wit the Guest Services Supervisor, Operations Manager and/or Resort Manager to coordinate scheduling of recreation team staff accordingly.
    • Establish & maintain cohesive, good working relationships between all outfitter staff.
    • Create & distribute a monthly calendar listing the times and locations of all planned activities.
    • Coordinate, prepare and purchase, within the resort's budget, all food and drink items, equipment, awards, entertainment and travel arrangements necessary for activities.
    • Promote an atmosphere of fun, education and relaxation.
    • Greet all guests with a positive attitude and a well-groomed appearance, a smile, recognition and a proper Terramor uniform and name tag.
    • Follow specific Terramor cash and credit card handling procedures and properly use the computer, cash register, credit card, and various other front desk equipment.
    • Handle daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled stocking and cleaning programs as requested by the Guest Services Supervisor, Resort Manager and/or Operations Manager for all areas of the main Lodge.

      • Taking guest orders and properly ringing up orders via the restaurant POS system
      • Delivering orders
      • Bussing tables

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for the resort accounting, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures.

     

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Perform the daily balancing, accounting, and depositing of all cash received.
    • Execute the daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping of all expenses incurred and deposits received.
    • Obtain and submit all required daily, weekly, and monthly sales and expense reports to the Home Office in an accurate and efficient manner.
    • Ensure strict control of all cash generated at the campground.
    • Report all cash misappropriations and deficiencies in cash handling procedures by staff to the Resort Manager. 
    • Conduct audits of all cash sources on a regular basis.
    • Balance daily to Operating Recap in Newbook/Bepoz, cash count should come back to Cash on Ops Recap.
    • Prompt replies to all emails and phone messages.
    • Accurate coding of company p-cards in accordance with Terramor chart of accounts

    REPORTS TO

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Manage the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure quality standards are met while delivering a high-quality guest experience.

     

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.
    • Recruit and train housekeeping staff.
    • Participate in the preparation of the annual housekeeping operating budget and financial plans. Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on increased productivity.
    • Maintain proper inventory levels managing par levels depending on the seasonality of the resort.
    • Maintain and order supplies and equipment in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste.  
    • Manage the labor, tracking the cost per turn.
    • Manage the quality of housekeeping and laundry services. Schedule routine inspections of all accommodations and public areas to ensure furnishings, accommodations, equipment, linens, public restrooms, registration/store, etc. are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction.
    • Manage the commercial laundry room to ensure that proper techniques and systems are being used and work is being completed in a timely manner.
    • Manage the process for all items that are sent out to be laundered.  Track inventory that this sent out and ensure stock is available when needed at the resort.   Work with the vendor to ensure timing and quality meet Terramor standards.
    • Work closely with the front desk staff and maintenance staff to ensure timely guest check-ins and units are kept in good working condition.
    • Use the registration system to pull reports as well as have a firm understanding and working knowledge of how to use the reservation system.
    • May assist with deep-cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during high-volume periods.
    • Educate and train all team members in compliance with federal, state and local laws and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
    • Maintain Safety Data sheets for all cleaning chemicals used on property.
    • Present a positive, professional impression with a well-groomed appearance, smiles and proper Terramor uniform and name tag.
    • Provide excellent and friendly guest service by being attentive, responsive and helpful to all guest needs.  Greet the guests at every opportunity by demonstrating a friendly welcome.
    • Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Four years of housekeeping/laundry experience including supervisory experience
    • Must speak fluent English and other additional languages are preferred
    • Basic computer skills
    • Must have sound judgment and discretional skills and be able to work with little or no supervision
    • Must display very good organization and time management skills
    • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
    • Ability to work under wet and slippery conditions

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for providing an excellent guest experience by preparing alcohol and non-alcohol drinks for guests as well as helping to facilitate the timely service of food.

     

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience by interacting with customers, taking orders and serving food and beverage.  Report all customer problems, requests, or complaints to the Resort Manager, Food & Beverage Director, Guest Services Manager and/or Operations Manager.
    • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
    • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
    • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies when necessary.

    Responsible for the preparation and presentation of food to Terramor standards as well as helping to facilitate the timely service of food to the customer.

     

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • The set-up and breakdown of work stations with the needed ingredient and cooking equipment.
    • Pleases customers by providing a pleasant dining experience.
    • Serves meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients; and maintaining a sanitary kitchen.
    • Executes cold food production in accordance with standards of plating guide specifications.
    • Attends to the detail and presentation of each order.
    • Places and expedites orders.
    • Prepares ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste; and plating meals.
    • Completes hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, use of the pizza oven and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
    • Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
    • Stores leftovers according to established standards.

    • Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared and served per Terramor’s standards of quality while complying with all federal, state and county code laws as they pertain to the serving of food and alcoholic beverages.

    Supervise the front desk, registration and store to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to all guests and maintain profitable store operations as well as help drive additional revenue at the resort.

                Housekeepers are responsible for the overall cleanliness of the resort including the public space areas and all accommodations according to standards.  All areas should be efficiently cleaned within the allotted times while providing great guest service.

     

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Perform the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning programs for specific buildings and facilities as outlined by immediate supervisor or manager.
    • Use appropriate cleaning chemicals on appropriate items and only as trained. Do not mix chemicals together or use straight out of original bottle.  Must use appropriate safety measures such as gloves.
    • Perform laundry duties which include pre-treating, sorting, loading/unloading machines, properly operating machines, folding and stocking.
    • Be aware of blood borne pathogen procedures and contact supervisor when needed.
    • Bring all lost and found items to main office with cabin number and date on them. If it is something valuable, it needs to be given directly to a housekeeping supervisor to ensure it is locked up immediately.

                Assist in the supervision of the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure that quality standards are met and optimum service is provided to campground guests.

     

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Daily supervision and scheduling assignments for housekeeping staff. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.
    • Maintain proper inventory levels managing par levels depending on the seasonality of the campground.
    • Inventory housekeeping supplies and equipment to ensure all items are kept in stock and work with staff to minimize waste.  Work with the general manager, executive housekeeper and/or operations manager to order replacements. 
    • Manage the quality of housekeeping and laundry services. Schedule routine inspections of all accommodations and public areas to ensure furnishings, accommodations, equipment, linens, public restrooms, registration/store, etc. are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction.
    • Supervise the commercial laundry room to ensure that proper techniques and systems are being used and work is being completed in a timely manner.
    • Work closely with the front desk staff and maintenance staff to ensure timely guest check-ins and units are kept in good working condition.
    • Use the reservation system to pull reports as well as have a firm understanding and working knowledge of the system.
    • Routinely perform all housekeeping duties necessary including cleaning accommodations and public spaces to ensure guest satisfaction.
    • Assist with deep-cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during high-volume periods.

    • Educate guests on recreational and cultural options in the area.
    • Maintain and update the Outfitter Guidebook which will offer a varied selection of activities for our guests both on and off property
