    Terramor Outdoor Resorts is the newest business venture of Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA). KOA is the world’s largest network of privately owned campgrounds and the leader in outdoor hospitality. KOA has 525+ locations across the United States and Canada, including franchised and company-owned properties.     Terramor Outdoor Resorts (Terramor) is a brand offering luxury outdoor hospitality. The resort has high-end accommodations of canvas tents, a lodge with food and beverage, onsite nature trails and a pool and hot tub. Currently, there is one open and operating Terramor located in Bar Harbor, Maine, however KOA is building multiple new resorts across North America.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Terramor’s Massage Therapist will perform various massage services within Terramor’s onsite Wellness Tent. These services will cover individual, and couples massage modalities. Therapists should be able to customize services based on guests' needs and preferences while also trained to perform signature services. In addition, responsibilities would include maintaining a small retail inventory in the Wellness Tent. 

    Resort is open May through October.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Must be up to date on the latest technologies and advancements in the field

    • Offer product and service information

    • Exercise effective communication skills with supervisor and clients

    • Provide personal care to each client through a guest assessment prior to the massage and discuss treatment/service plan

    • Ability to adapt to new technologies and techniques

    • Ensure the wellness tent is clean and well-stocked

    • Maintain confidentiality of client information

    • Utilize the onsite Wellness Tent reservation system to schedule, update and close out guest appointments

    • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    • Current and in good standing Maine State Massage License

    • Speak and understand the English language fluently

    • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

    • Ability to perform a variety of massage modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, and focus work

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Able to operate cash payment technology systems

    • Flexibility to work weekend, holiday, morning, and evening shifts

    • Motivated, goal-oriented and results-driven


     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, lift and carry 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly

    Food & Beverage

    Bartender

    Responsible for providing an excellent guest experience by preparing alcohol and non-alcohol drinks for guests as well as helping to facilitate the timely service of food.

    REPORTS TO

    Resort General Manager, Food & Beverage Director, and/or Operations Manager 

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience by interacting with customers, taking orders and serving food and beverage.  Report all customer problems, requests, or complaints to the Resort Manager, Food & Beverage Director, Guest Services Manager and/or Operations Manager.

    • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.

    • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.

    • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies when necessary.

    • Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared and served per Terramor’s standards of quality while complying with all federal, state and county code laws as they pertain to the serving of food and alcoholic beverages. 

    • Promote the restaurant/bar by possessing working knowledge of all menu items, daily specials and featured promotions.

    • Carry out the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning programs as established by the Resort Manager, Food & Beverage Director, and/or Operations Manager, being sure to adhere to all federal, state, local and Terramor health and cleanliness standards.

    • Follow specific Terramor cash and credit card handling procedures and properly use the computer, cash register, credit card, and various other restaurant equipment.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Provide superior guest service over the telephone and in person, by being enthusiastic, attentive, friendly and helpful. 

    • Greet all guests with a positive attitude and a well-groomed appearance, a smile, recognition and a proper Terramor uniform and name tag.

    • Handle all guest issues with respect by listening and acknowledging their concern.

    • Follow all Terramor guidelines and procedures regarding the handling of registrations, reservations, store sales and refunds.

    • Follow specific Terramor cash and credit card handling procedures and properly use the computer, cash register, credit card, and various other front desk equipment.

    • Handle daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled stocking and cleaning programs as requested by the Guest Services Supervisor, Resort Manager and/or Operations Manager for all areas of the main Lodge.

    • Promote local attractions and encourage guests to use our Outfitter services.

    • Assist guests with gear lending as needed.

    Housekeeping

    Housekeeping

    $17.00 - $17.50 / hour + tips
    Bar Harbor

    Housekeeping: (Room Attendant)-(Houseperson)-(Runner). Housekeepers are responsible for the overall cleanliness of the resort including the public space areas and all accommodations according to standards.  All areas should be efficiently cleaned within the allotted times while providing great guest service.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Perform the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning programs for specific buildings and facilities as outlined by immediate supervisor or manager.

    • Use appropriate cleaning chemicals on appropriate items and only as trained. Do not mix chemicals together or use straight out of original bottle.  Must use appropriate safety measures such as gloves.

    • Perform laundry duties which include pre-treating, sorting, loading/unloading machines, properly operating machines, folding and stocking.

    • Be aware of blood borne pathogen procedures and contact supervisor when needed.

    • Bring all lost and found items to main office with cabin number and date on them. If it is something valuable, it needs to be given directly to a housekeeping supervisor to ensure it is locked up immediately.

    • Provide excellent and friendly guest service by being attentive, responsive and helpful to all guests needs.  Greet the guests at every opportunity by demonstrating a friendly welcome. 

    • Present a positive impression with a well-groomed appearance, smiles and proper Terramor uniform and name tag.

    • Submit a list of supplies (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, cleaning supplies and equipment, etc.) that need to be replenished on an as-needed basis to your immediate supervisor or manager.

    • Report all broken or damaged items within all KOA buildings, facilities and premises via a maintenance slip.

    • Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to the resort manager or your supervisor and follow-up to resolve the issue if possible.

    Night Host (Night Audit)

    Designated Supervisor and General Manager

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Night Host assists the guest services department, after normal store hours, by registering late arriving customers, enforcing campground rules, picking up trash and emptying trash receptacles, answering the after-hours phone, responding to messaging services, doing basic housekeeping duties, and performing light maintenance and repairs. They provide accurate and concise information about park rules, recreation activities, and directions to destinations. This guest facing position requires exceptional customer service, a can-do attitude, and the self-motivation to work independently.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Assist guests with registering, guiding them to their sites, and with other customer service needs.

    • Keep a record of all events that occur on shift, in chronological order, for future reference.

    • Keep grounds free from trash, litter, and debris, and empty trash receptacles.

    • Ensure the cleanliness of grounds, landscaped areas, parking lots, restrooms, pool, and office areas.

    • Clean campsites by performing minor maintenance tasks such as raking the campsite pad, washing tables, and cleaning out fire rings.

    • Clean restrooms per housekeeping schedule and collaborate with housekeeping staff and communicate daily housekeeping needs.

    • Interact with guests and make recommendations for things to do in local area.

    • Follow all safety guidelines for the operation of equipment and use of chemicals.

    • Make minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.

    • Approach all encounters with guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.

    • Report all disturbances to management or in emergencies, to the local authorities without attempting to discipline or apprehend any campground violators.

    • Prioritize tasks based upon importance and urgency with conscious planning and thoughtful decision making.
