Our operations are broken down into winter and summer.  Winter runs from late-November through mid-April and summer runs from mid-May through the end of September.  Training for each position will be done on-site after being hired and starting dates will be communicated through the hiring manager.  

  • Lift Mechanic

    Lift Maintenance

    Description

    Entry-level mechanics learn and develop preventative maintenance skills and perform all routine preventative maintenance procedures under the guidance of more senior mechanics.  Responsible for conducting and documenting all required lift inspections and, regularly monitoring the condition of assigned lifts to ensure safe operation to the public.

    Requirements

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

    • Inspect, rebuild n replace ski lift equipment to ensure lift compliance with ANSI and Manufacturer specifications and document work performed.

    • Conduct and document daily pre-operational inspections on assigned lift/lifts prior to 9am.

    • Regularly monitor the condition of assigned lifts and react to discrepancies accordingly.

    EQUIPMENT USED:

    Lift mechanics will regularly use hand tools such as wrenches, ratchets, grinders, drills, presses, cable and chain hoists and other various maintenance equipment.  Mechanics will also assist with rigging; including the use of wire rope, slings and pulleys.  Pickup trucks, 4-wheelers and snowmobiles are used daily for transportation.  Working conditions will vary greatly with the change in seasons.  Must be comfortable working off the ground at heights.

    RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:

    • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.

    • Appropriate use of all Lift Mechanic Personal Protective Equipment.

    • Read and understand the Lift Maintenance Job Hazard Assessments.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must be at least 18 yrs old.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    A high school diploma or equivalent is required; mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of common hand and power tools is preferred.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    None are required.  However, NDT Level II, Class 4 & 7 Lift Truck and Welding Certifications are highly recommended.

  • Restaurant Chef

    Our busy resort is looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Chef who is passionate about culinary arts. The ideal candidate for this position will be a natural leader who always has a finger on the pulse of current culinary trends. The Chef will be responsible for assigning work in the kitchen, preparing meals for our diners, interviewing and training staff, kitchen inventory management, and partnering with the Sous Chef to come up with delectable new dishes to add to our growing menu.   • Bartender

  • Daycare Attendant

    Tamarack's Wildhorse Daycare is seeking childcare workers. This is a seasonal, part-time position working in a fun and fast paced environment providing care to children of all ages in our state licensed daycare facility. Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required. Applicants must complete a criminal background check and obtain pediatric CPR/First Aid certification upon hiring.

  • System Support Tech I

    The Systems Support Technician will provide technical support for Workstation, Point-of-Sale, Telecom, Video, Audio-Video, and Network systems running in the Tamarack Resort environment.  The Systems Support Technician I works within the Information Technology Division, but is required to communicate and circulate throughout all areas of Tamarack’s operation.

    Requirements

    • Implement and support internal and external computers, POS and Resort Management computers and software packages.  

    • Support MS Windows desktop, Point of Sale.  

    • Support LAN/WAN Network technologies. 

    • Support ISP Telecom, Video and Audio-Video installations and systems.

    • Provide excellent customer service to guests, homeowners, and fellow employees.  

    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.  

    • Must enjoy working and interacting with the public

    • Ability to multi task

    • Must be over 21 years of age

    • Frequent walking, standing, and talking on the phone in both noisy and quiet locations.  

    • Important to be able to hear and speak in noisy and quiet surroundings continuously.  

    • Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling squatting, twisting/turning from waist and pushing/pulling objects both with and without wheels.  

    • Will be working with hands and fingers and lifting and moving objects up to 75 pounds horizontally and vertically on a regular basis.  

    • Near and far vision as well as good depth perception and color vision are important.  Frequent use of senses. 

  • Line Cook

    Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

    • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
    • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
    • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
    • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
    • Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
    • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
    • Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
    • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
    • Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
    • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
    • Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
    • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.

  • Janitor

  • Lift Operator

    SUMMARY 

    The Lift Operator is responsible for providing safe and efficient loading, transporting and unloading of all guests on aerial or surface lifts.  In addition, the Lift Operator maintains the loading and unloading ramps, sets up signage, barrier fencing, ropes and maze lines.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Assists with cleaning and clearing deck and lodge area.
    • Provides excellent customer service to customers, employees and business partners.
    • Maintains loading and unloading ramps, sets up signage, barrier fencing, ropes and maze lines.
    • Performs daily safety inspections on the lifts and completes a daily lift log.
    • Assists all guests with loading and unloading the aerial and surface lifts in extreme weather conditions.
    • Assists with snow removal including shoveling and clearing snow from walkways, stairs, equipment and other areas as needed.

  • Mountain Ambassador

    Mountain Ambassador Volunteers will welcome guests to the resort, provide on-mountain information and guest service, and wish them well at their departure.  Ambassadors may also conduct mountain tours, and assist with ski school and ski patrol.  Must have excellent guest service skills and an outgoing personality.  Advanced skiing or snowboarding skills required.  Must love the outdoors and be able to tolerate all kinds of weather for extended periods of time.  Be able to volunteer on weekends and holidays.

    • Assist with snowmaking efforts which includes operation of pump house and snowmaking guns and other equipment.
    • Assist in training other Staff on Snowmaking equipment and protocol.

    • Perform inspection of equipment before and after operation of grooming machinery.
    • Assist with grooming machinery maintenance including checking fluid levels, condition of machinery and other areas in order to maintain grooming machinery in a safe and proper working order.
    • Document and report condition of grooming machinery to vehicle maintenance.
    • Monitor weather and ski conditions to assist in the preparation of the daily ski report.
    • Operate grooming machinery and perform job duties and responsibilities in extreme weather conditions during the late evening and early morning hours of the day.
    • Assist with snow removal including shoveling and clearing snow from walkways, paths and other areas as necessary.
    • Train new operators on the lines and turn around locations on the hill.
    • Communicate schedule, machine status, or other information with vehicle maintenance and other groomer employees.
  • Groomer

  • Parking Attendant & Snow Removal

    • Withstand extreme weather conditions.
    • Ability to work on flexible hours and at a moment notice due to Mother Nature’s policy making
    • Work closely with, and assist other departments, such as Grooming, Ski patrol, and Lift Operations
    • May be asked to operate snow blowers, shovels, rakes, mechanized equipment and any other piece of equipment available to perform snow removal functions
    • Operate various types of motorized equipment on and off the mountain.

    • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of crew members as well as the public

  • Ski Patrol

    Duties:

    • To continually strive to exceed our Guest’s expectations and to create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experience again and again
    • Administer first aid to injured guests and staff.
    • Coordinate transport of injured persons to appropriate facility.
    • Continually monitor Trail and Slope conditions to ensure the safety of all guests and staff.
    • Perform lift evacuations as required.
    • Perform avalanche control duties as required.
    • Assist other departments as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be EMT Certified
    • Capable of skiing all terrain levels under all conditions
    • Strong communication skills
    • Previous patrolling, avalanche control, mountaineering or rescue experience would be an asset
    • Able to interact well within a team atmosphere
    • Required to complete a satisfactory criminal record check
  • Terrain Park Attendant

    Terrain Parks

    Terrain Park Attendant maintains all Freestyle elements in the Terrain Parks in an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests.  Acts as host in regard to crowd supervision, and serves as an advocate in educating Park users in Terrain Park etiquette.  

    • Continually strive to exceed our Guest’s snow expectations and to create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experience again and again.

    • Responsible for the daily examination and maintenance of all park elements to ensure safety by eliminating hazards to customers and employees. 

    • Installing and maintaining visible park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing and banner tape. 

    • Shoveling, lifting, raking, digging and all aspects of Terrain Park construction. 

    • Closing all park elements that become unsafe and all end of day closures of parks and elements. 

    • Assisting with special events including erection and maintenance of equipment. 

    • Complete daily reports, logs, and questionnaires as required. 

    • Work closely with, and assist other departments, such as Grooming, Ski Patrol, Lift Operations and Special Events 

    • Operate various types of motorized equipment on and off the mountain.  

    • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of crew members. 

    • Provide excellent customer service to guests, property owners, homeowners, club members and fellow employees.
