Work, Fish and Live on Oak Island this Summer at Sunset Lodge

Spend your summer living and working on beautiful Oak Island, Minnesota at Sunset Lodge — a busy, full-service fishing resort on Lake of the Woods. We’re looking for hardworking, dependable, positive people to join our team for the summer and fall season.

Season runs approximately June 1st – October 31st

(Flexible start/end dates available for students.)

Life at Sunset Lodge is fast-paced, team-oriented, and never boring. Days can be long during peak season, but you’ll spend your summer surrounded by incredible fishing, sunsets, wildlife, and a fun close-knit crew.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Dock / Resort Staff

Duties include:

• Catching and docking boats

• Hauling luggage and freight

• Fish cleaning

• Maintaining rental boats and equipment

• Landscaping and general maintenance

• Keeping lodge facilities clean and guest-ready

This is a physical, fast-paced position averaging approximately 60 hours per week. Starting pay is salary + tips ($600+/week DOE). Ideal candidates enjoy working outdoors and are willing to jump in wherever needed. Opportunity for winter employment may be available for the right candidate.

Line Cook

Duties include:

• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner line cooking

• Food prep and kitchen organization

• Preparing family-style meals for staff and guests

• Maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment

This is a fast-paced kitchen position starting at $18+/hour DOE.

Breakfast Server / Lodge Staff

Duties include:

• Breakfast service

• Preparing boxed lunches

• Assisting with housekeeping and laundry

• Cleaning and maintaining lodge/common areas

• Guest service and general lodge assistance

Some bartending experience is helpful but not required. Days begin early (5:30 AM starts), so punctuality and a positive attitude are extremely important. Starting pay is $16+/hour DOE + tips.

About Sunset Lodge

Sunset Lodge is a family-owned fishing resort located in the Northwest Angle of Lake of the Woods. We operate year-round with both summer fishing and winter ice-fishing seasons. We host guests from all over the Midwest who return year after year for great fishing, good food, and a laid-back Northwoods atmosphere.

Housing Details: Staff housing is dorm-style with shared bedrooms and bathrooms. Meals and room/board are included.
