Come join our Summer/Fall 2026 Front Desk/store team!
Start date: Sept 1. Ideally looking for someone to finish out the fall season and commit to return for the winter season.
Staff member benefits include free community-style housing, an hourly wage paid out biweekly, paid sick leave (accrued each pay period), one free meal daily when the restaurant is open, and free and discounted activities.
The Front Desk:
At the front desk, yours is the first face and smile people see when they walk through the door. Our restaurant, coffee shop, store, adventures, and lodging check-ins are all based out of our main building, so the front desk staff are instrumental in creating a warm and welcoming first impression for all our guests. Our clientele is a mix of locals and tourists- there are many familiar faces you will get to know well, others you may meet only once. Regardless, we strive to build authentic connections with our guests, provide exceptional service and genuine care, and leave them with a lasting and positive impression of their experiences with us.

Front Desk Duties:
Greet guests as they walk in the door
Be knowledgeable about all the Outpost’s offerings and policies
Be knowledgeable about local offerings, trails, ice/snow conditions etc...
Confidently address guest questions and needs
Answer phones and emails in a timely and professional manner
Book reservations for lodging and activities while accurately setting expectations
Facilitate the check-in process for guests arriving for lodging or adventures, ensuring all needed paperwork is signed and payment is taken
Inspect cabins before check-ins
Basic admin/marketing type tasks as needed (designing posters, slideshows etc...)
Mail runs to the local post office
Cross-train on housekeeping, coffee shop, and basic operation of restaurant POS
Assist with community events/fundraisers as needed
Special projects, based on skills and interests
Any other tasks as needed
Store Duties:
Thoroughly complete daily cleaning checklist for the store, front desk area, restrooms, exterior, and around fuel pumps
Stock coolers and shelves; ensure products are priced and placed appropriately
Properly store and label inventory
Process store transactions accurately
Open and close the till
Other occasional duties: Authorize gas pumps for fuel transactions, fill propane tanks
Job Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience working in customer service/hospitality
High School Graduate/GED equivalency
Valid driver’s license
Able to work in a sitting, standing or walking position for 8-10 hours per day
Able to safely lift 50lbs
Preferred Skills:
2+ years experience working in customer service/hospitality
Social media/marketing experience
