Treetop Adventure Course General Job Description:
Treetop Adventure Rescue and Ground Guides spend the day in a dynamic outdoor work environment. Guides work with guests to provide a safe, fun and rewarding experience. Treetop Guides have strong communication and leadership skills; have good attention to detail; have strong customer service skills; are able to lift 50lbs; are able to stand for long periods of time; are able to walk three to five miles a day; be willing to work outside in all different types of weather; be physically fit and comfortable with heights; be a good team player; have a strong work ethic.
Duties:
Daily Course and equipment Inspections
Greeting and Harnessing Guests
Delivering Safety Briefings
Monitoring Courses - helping people safely navigate treetop obstacles
Performing Rescues (lowering clients to the ground - Rescue Guides only)
Guest Relations
Be trained in lift operations
Be trained in other activity areas if needed:
Food / Event Service
Alpine Slide Attendant

Cowboy Coaster
Qualifications for the Job:
Must be at least 18 yrs old
Able to lift 50+ lbs
Basic 1st Aid and CPR - pay increase for Wilderness First Aid (WFA) or Wilderness First Responder (WFR)
Rescue Guides must complete a 5-day training course and pass a physical and written test
Related field of study and/or work experience in the outdoors or adventure tourism a plus.
ZipTour General Job Description:
This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and exceptional experience for all zipline guests. Responsibilities include setting stop ropes, tying required knots, assisting guests in proper harness and helmet fitting, putting trolleys on the start of each zipline, adjusting guest on to the trolley properly and efficiently, demonstrating proper zipping techniques, operating the zipline activity, monitoring / directing guest’s speed upon incoming approach, performing retrievals and rescues (if trained as a rescue guide), inspecting equipment, and proper documentation of all daily operations. The Zipline Guide is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Essential Duties:
Daily opening and closing procedures of the zipline course.
Supervising the progress and experience of each assigned tour group.
Fitting harnesses and helmets correctly and supervising the use of all safety equipment.
Conducting pre-tour safety orientation for each tour group. Using customer engagement skills to ensure a memorable experience for each guest.
Assuring the safety and wellbeing of guests throughout each tour. Performing course rescues.
Educating guests about the history of Snow King as well as geology, flora, and fauna. Conducting complete inspections of all course components and gear. Assisting with course maintenance efforts.
Attending required meetings and training.
Pre-flight Duties:
Inspecting all lines for safety. Inspecting each platform for safety, cleanliness, and supplies (water, first aid, etc.).
Inspecting harnesses, pulleys, carabiners, and helmets for integrity and cleanliness.
Assisting with weigh-in, waivers, and harness distribution.
Tour Duties:
Meeting and establishing a rapport with each guest.
Reviewing safety issues, answering questions.
Demonstrating how to carry gear and wear a safety harness.
Continuing to build relationships with guests throughout the tour by using communication skills to listen, engage, and converse.
Building excitement about the forthcoming experience. .
Attaching guests to the cable and performing essential safety checks every time before anyone zips.
Zipping to the next landing point demonstrating proper zipping techniques.
Assisting with the landing of each participant, ensuring their safety on every approach.
Responsible for all gear safety and maintenance, including but not limited to washing, cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing the equipment.
Season
Part-time: May 1st - June 15th
(Mandatory Training May 4th -May 15th)
(One make up Mandatory Training June 1st - June 12th)
These trainings must be completed in order to become a certified Rescue Guide
Full Time: June 16th - September 1st
Part-time: September 2nd - October 8th
