Join our team as a YNP (Yellowstone National Park) Wildlife Guide / Fly Fishing Guide and immerse yourself in the breathtaking wilderness while sharing your passion for nature and fishing with visitors from around the world. In this dynamic role, you will lead outdoor adventures, provide expert instruction on fly fishing techniques, and ensure guests have memorable, safe, and educational experiences. Your enthusiasm, leadership, and communication skills will inspire others to appreciate and protect our natural environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine outdoor recreation with exceptional customer service in one of the most iconic national parks.
Duties
Lead guided fly fishing excursions, demonstrating techniques and sharing local knowledge to enhance guest experience
Educate clients on fly fishing gear, safety protocols, and environmental conservation practices
Manage group dynamics through effective public speaking and clear communication, ensuring all participants feel engaged and informed
Provide personalized coaching to anglers of varying skill levels, fostering skill development and confidence
Maintain safety standards by conducting pre-trip briefings, monitoring weather conditions, and responding promptly to emergencies
Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth operation of daily activities and adherence to schedule
Promote environmental stewardship by educating guests about park ecology and responsible outdoor practices
Requirements
Proven experience in fly fishing with a strong understanding of local fish species and ecosystems
Excellent leadership abilities with a talent for teaching and motivating diverse groups of people
Strong communication skills, including public speaking and multilingual or bilingual capabilities preferred
Exceptional customer service orientation with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills
Effective time management skills to organize multiple trips while maintaining high-quality experiences
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods
Prior experience in guiding or outdoor education is highly desirable
Valid U.S. Divers License and be eligible to drive under Company insurance policy
