Currently recruiting for the season from June 5th, 2026 to August 17th, 2026.

Shaffer's High Sierra Camp is an wilderness adventure summer camp in California's Tahoe National Forest for boys and girls 8 to 17, recommended by Outside Magazine and The LA Times.

Nestled on the peaceful headwaters of the North Yuba River, near the Lakes Basin Recreation Area and its dozens of pristine mountain lakes, miles of hiking and biking trails, renowned rock climbing sites, and just an hour away from Lake Tahoe, the Camp is perfectly located for you to enjoy all this area has to offer.
