Join us at Royal Gorge Zipline Tours and embrace the thrill of outdoor adventure employment—where you soar through the day, taking in breathtaking views and sharing pure adventure! We’re seeking those who want to break free from the ordinary, bringing good energy, stoke, and excitement. Become part of our zipline guide team and share the exhilarating experience of flying through the sky.

A Day in the Life of a Zipline Guide:

We offer two exciting courses: the Classic and the Extreme. Peak season tours begin at 8 a.m. and run until 6 p.m., with departures every 30 minutes to an hour —apply and interview to secure your spot on the team. Our season kicks off March 1st, but we will have multiple training courses for new guides. Zipline guides can lead up to three tours per day. Each tour is led by two guides and accommodates up to 8 guests.

The Classic tour features 9 ziplines, a dual raceline, and a ¾-mile hike, lasting up to 2 hours. The Extreme tour includes 11 ziplines, a dual raceline, and challenging hikes, ending at a 70-foot tower where guides oversee jumps using an arrest system for safe lowering. Extreme tours typically last around 3 hours.

Join us for a career full of adventure, where professionalism and excitement go hand in hand. Apply now to become part of the Royal Gorge Zipline Tours experience!

Wages:

Guides are compensated per tour and often  receive tips. Guides will also have the opportunity to pick up extra hours  providing ground support, performing daily inspections, maintaining courses, and/or serving as a course photographer.

Training:

We conduct our new guide training in-house, with multiple classes as we enter the summer season, combining classroom instruction with on-course practice. The training is offered as an educational program for certification that requires tuition and completion to become a certified guide; it is a 6-day, 60-hour course. Guides with prior experience or pre-qualifications may be able to test out of initial training. All guides will be certified to ACCT and Colorado State standards. Contact us, and we can line you up with the training dates and times that suit you best. We anticipate 3 to four training courses this spring, from late March, April, May, and into June

Canon City:

Canon City offers plenty of outdoor activities, including hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, frisbee golf, sightseeing, and so much more. The Royal Gorge Region is the best-kept secret in Colorado.

Enjoy a season filled with fun and exploration in a great Outdoorsy community!

We hope to hear from you soon!
