About Rockywold-Deephaven Camps

Rockywold-Deephaven Camps (RDC) is a historic summer resort located on the beautiful shores of Squam Lake in Holderness, New Hampshire. Since 1897, we’ve welcomed families and friends to experience the tradition, community, and natural beauty that make RDC truly special. Surrounded by the White Mountains and set within the Lakes Region, our property offers breathtaking views and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure.

Each summer, guests and staff can participate in a host of activities like wacky canoe races, talent shows, square dancing, sports tournaments, guided hiking and kayaking, or quietly relax by the lake and take in the views. Our guests return year after year because of the strong sense of community and the same is true for our staff.

Rockywold-Deephaven Camps is a place where you can escape the modern world, appreciate the beauty of nature, and build lasting memories with family and friends. It's a retreat where the past meets the present in a harmonious way, making it a unique and cherished experience that is difficult to put into words.

The Employee Experience

The employee experience at RDC is truly something special, and like our guest experience, it’s what keeps staff returning year after year.

Set on one of the most beautiful and serene lakes in New Hampshire, you’ll live and work in a breathtaking natural setting alongside a community of over 150 seasonal employees from across the country and around the world. RDC is a welcoming and vibrant workplace where friendships form quickly and meaningful connections last long after the summer ends.

At RDC, we value integrity, positivity, and collaboration, and believe work should be rewarding and enjoyable. Staff are encouraged to participate in recreational activities, join organized staff events and trips, and take advantage of resort amenities, or simply relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the lake.

RDC offers the chance to step away from everyday routines, grow alongside an incredible team, and create unforgettable summer memories. It’s a place where tradition, community, and nature come together to create an experience that’s hard to put into words.

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for hardworking, positive individuals who enjoy the outdoors and thrive in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, step outside their comfort zone, and learn new skills along the way.

Successful staff members at RDC are dependable, adaptable, and proactive. They take pride in their work, communicate openly, and support their teammates. Integrity and honesty are essential here. We rely on one another, and trust is at the core of our community.

We value individuals who bring enthusiasm, resilience, and a willingness to help wherever needed. A strong work ethic, respect for others, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude, even during busy summer days, make all the difference in creating a great experience for our guests and fellow staff members.

If you enjoy being part of something bigger than yourself and want to contribute to a collaborative, close-knit camp community, you’ll fit right in at RDC.

Room and Board

RDC provides room and board to all employees at no cost. Hour dormitories are similar to the summer cottages we rent in that they are simple wooden buildings. Staff housing is conveniently located on-site and within walking distance of all work areas. We provide everything you need for your room, including beds, linens, blankets, and towels.

Our campus includes 11 dormitories, each with its own shared bathroom facilities. Most rooms are doubles, with a few triple and single rooms available.

Staff enjoy daily meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, served at designated times in our dedicated staff dining facility. Meals are served buffet-style, and we are able to accommodate most dietary needs and restrictions, including vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, nut-free, and gluten-free options.
