The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) owns and operates Hancock Field Station, a rural residential outdoor science camp 30 minutes outside Fossil, Oregon. The Camp Maintenance Technician provides a critical operations role through effective care, repair, and maintenance of camp buildings, grounds, and equipment.
A successful incumbent recognizes, mitigates, and responds to hazards to ensure a healthy and safe program for all participants and provides general maintenance, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and gas /electric appliances and systems for all camp buildings including staff housing. This position requires working onsite at the camp location, working on some weekends, holidays, and/or evenings, and requires 24-hour on-call duties for critical systems.
Private housing with shared amenities is included at no additional cost.
