Job Summary

The Attendant, Housekeeping (Private Homes) is responsible for providing quality service in all Private Homes and Private Home Public Areas (PA). Colleagues in this role must demonstrate genuine concern for Homeowners and Colleagues while ensuring a friendly, safe, efficient and professional service.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for deep cleanliness of Private Homes, PA and HOH spaces and venues in any assigned section.

  • Exceed Homeowner expectations of housekeeping services.

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of homes, public areas, and heart-of-house spaces.

  • Ensure that all spaces are cleaned in accordance with One&Only standards.

  • Perform scheduled housekeeping services for homeowners in Private Homes.

  • Meticulously adhere to the standard operating procedures pertaining to cleaning, sanitization and set up in Private Homes/ PA and HOH spaces.

  • Adhere to homeowner preferences while cleaning individual homes.

  • Adherent to the company’s standards regarding dress and appearance.

  • Extend appropriate greetings to all homeowners, guests and colleagues at every opportunity, using names whenever possible.

  • Ensure that all equipment is properly cared for, cleaned and correctly stored.

  • Ensure Private Homes cleaning supplies are stocked and notify management when orders are needed.

  • Carry out off-season deep cleaning and other cleanliness projects as needed.

  • Ensure that all scheduled homeowner services are ready at time specified.

  • Inform In Room Dining team when room service trays need to be removed.

  • Assist with resort housekeeping guest room and public area services as needed.

  • Ensure that Linen, Towels and other supplies are distributed to the sections and to the Linen Room.

  • Ensure supplies, amenities and linens are replenished as per standard.

  • Ensure that equipment is always clean, presentable, well maintained and in good repair.

  • Ensure that home glassware and cutlery are always cleaned and sanitized to standards.

  • Maintain safe work practices as per the Health and Safety SOP.

  • Ensure that all HOH corridors, fire staircases, toilets, changing rooms, offices, shower areas are kept clean as per SOP.

  • Adhere to chemical utilization as per the Chemical training SOP.

  • Develop a positive working relationship with all colleagues and departments to facilitate a team-oriented atmosphere.

  • Responsible for the assigned Master Key.

  • Report all lost and found items and follow SOP to ensure proper storage and follow up.

  • Attend training courses as required.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director, Private Homes or other members of the management team.

Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience is an advantage 

  • Familiar with hotel facilities, operations, and services is preferred 

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, co-workers, and managers 

  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times 

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:   

  • Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods 

  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling 

  • Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds 

  • Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
