Job Summary 

The Driver/Bellman assists with the transportation of guests and the collection of guests’ luggage. They will ensure all guests receive prompt, efficient, and effective service throughout their stay. They will be responsible for the first & last impression regarding arrival and departure experiences.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Provide bell service which includes greeting the guest, offering luggage assistance to/from their room, and ensuring all luggage is well maintained and handled properly 

  • Provide transportation which includes to/from the airport or locally, and door assistance when needed 

  • Help valet park cars, ensuring keys are safely and properly stored

  • Create a welcoming environment 

  • Deal with guest arrivals and departures as per hotel standards 

  • Assist guests in giving them directions and providing important information about the hotel 

  • Respond to all guests’ needs quickly, efficiently, and courteously 

  • Be aware of all functions, events, and meetings taking place in the resort 

  • Assist security in monitoring for suspicious activity 

  • Practice proper verbal etiquette with colleagues and guests

  • Ensure prompt, accurate, and courteous delivery and collection of any luggage, packages, or mail 

  • Ensure correct storage procedures are always followed 

  • Be fully familiar with the room types and location of guest rooms / private homes

  • Be familiar with all facilities and services within the hotel, offering general information as required 

  • Provide immediate assistance to guests as requested

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager, Front Office, or other members of the Management team

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license 

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred

  • Prior experience in luxury hospitality is an advantage

  • Must always maintain positive attitude  

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, & holidays

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:   

  • Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods 

  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling 

  • Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds 

  • Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
