About the Role

Fishing guides at No See Um Lodge are responsible for delivering safe, professional, and memorable fly-out fishing experiences. While guiding is the primary focus, all staff pitch in as needed to support daily lodge operations. A positive attitude, flexibility, and team-first mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Guide guests safely and professionally on daily fly-out fishing trips

• Provide expert fly-fishing instruction and on-water coaching

• Operate and troubleshoot jet boats and related equipment

• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor with guests and fellow staff

• Assist with catching, loading, and unloading airplanes

• Uphold all safety standards and lodge protocols

• Help with general lodge duties as needed (gear organization, yard work, logistics support)

Requirements

• Strong fly-fishing background

• Minimum 1 year experience as a fly-fishing guide

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and on-water issues

• Comfortable living and working in a remote wilderness environment

• Valid driver’s license

• Coast Guard license

• Jet boat experience

• Previous Alaska guiding experience (preferred)
