New England Golf & Tennis Camp is hiring  a Head Counselor for the summer season.

The head counselor is a member of the  camp leadership team. They oversee the daily experience for a group of 40+ campers staff. They keep the big picture in focus, communicate expectations, support counselors, build relationships with campers, and solve problems throughout the day.

This role requires strong judgment, clear communication, and the ability to lead with independence. Head Counselors run their own group while staying aligned with NEGTC’s mission, values, and camp philosophy.

At NEGTC, campers are athletes in training. They grow through golf, tennis, cabin life, choice activities, friendships, and camp traditions. Head Counselors help create the structure and care needed for campers to grow with confidence, respect, and independence.

Position Summary

The Head Counselor is responsible for the overall leadership of a camper group.

Head Counselors supervise staff, support campers, communicate with parents, and work closely with directors and senior staff. They help counselors understand expectations, adjust to program changes, and deliver a consistent camp experience.

Head Counselors do not live in a bunk. They still play an active role in daily camper life and work as part of a team to support the highest quality program and camp experience.
