New England Golf and Tennis Camp is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our health center team for Summer 2026. This is a meaningful role for a compassionate, organized medical professional who values community, safety, and supporting youth in an active, residential camp environment.
You will be the primary healthcare provider for our campers and staff, helping ensure a safe, healthy, and positive camp experience for all.
Essential Responsibilities
Health Care Management
Provide daily medical care to campers and staff
Administer medications according to physician orders and camp protocols
Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses
Maintain accurate and confidential health records
Communicate with parents/guardians as needed regarding camper health
Emergency Response & Safety
Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate care with local providers if needed
Follow emergency action plans
Ensure proper documentation of all incidents and treatments
Maintain readiness of first aid supplies and medical equipment
Health Center Operations
Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient health center
Manage medication storage and inventory
Ensure compliance with state regulations
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with Camp Director and leadership team
Support staff in managing camper health needs
Participate in staff training related to health and safety
Help create a culture of wellness and care across camp
Qualifications
Active RN license (state of Maine or ability to obtain)
Minimum age 21
CPR and First Aid certification required
Strong clinical judgment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong assessment and decision-making skills
Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
Organized and detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
Compassionate, approachable, and community-minded
Ability to balance independence with teamwork
