MRR is looking for a Seasonal Sous Chef to work alongside our Executive Chef beginning in August and running through the end of October. Our Seasonal Sous Chef will have the freedom to explore their passion while living in an idyllic setting. The Seasonal Sous Chef is responsible for breakfast service and our lunch program.
Requirements, responsibilities, and duties:
A passion for great food and presentation
Willingness to work with suppliers such as Sysco, U.S. foods, QFD, Costco, and small regional distributors
Responsible for meal periods such as: breakfast, lunch, staff meal, etc.
Assist Head Chef with flexible menu utilizing seasonal foods and accommodating fluctuating service levels
Ensure safety and sanitation practices are followed
Interact with guests while working in an open kitchen
Develop and maintain a friendly, high energy work environment
Our season runs through October, 2026
11.5 days on, 2.5 days off (guaranteed; other additional time off based on scheduling)
Authorized to work in the U.S.A.
We are a small property, with only 13 rooms and a maximum headcount of 26 guests. When necessary, all employees may be asked to assist in responsibilities outside of their regular job description. Teamwork and attitude are integral to our success! We are a small team of 12 employees who enjoy working together as well as recreating outside! Nothing better than a float on our private section of river during our days off.
Housing and meals on property are included at no cost for this position. The Seasonal Chef will be living in a newly constructed house with the Head Chef/culinary team. Compensation is DOE.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time (up to eight hours) and the ability to push/pull up to fifty pounds.
