GREAT schedule with private housing! Our café is a scratch kitchen that cares about every guest and every plate. We serve in-house guests and locals with daily breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch (dine-in & to-go), and dinner in our main restaurant, outdoor patio, and banquet room.

The bakery features a daily-filled bake case with scones, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and our famous strawberry-rhubarb coffeecake, plus a cold case of fruit pies and desserts. The bakery also produces all breads for the café, including sourdough, burger buns, English muffins, crackers, molasses wheat bread, and pretzels.

The Role

The Overnight Bread Baker works primarily overnight shifts (with occasional early mornings) and is responsible for all bread production to support daily service. If you love baking and don’t mind odd hours, we want you! Everything tastes better when made with love.

What You’ll Do

• Produce all café bread according to production guidelines

• Create a nightly production list set by the Bakery Manager

• Properly store, label, and organize all bread for service

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bakery

• Follow recipes accurately and consistently

• Support the team with dishes and prep as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year baking experience (bakery or restaurant)

• Bread baking experience required in either a bakery and/or a restaurant

• Ability to work overnight and rotating shifts, 4 - 10s

• AK Food Handlers Card (required before start)

• Strong time management and teamwork skills

The contract dates are May 2025-September 2025

Pay & Perks

• Daily kitchen tips: $13–$15/hr cash

• Wages: $900-$1000.00/wk, 4 - 10s schedule!

• Room & Board: Free PRIVATE room and board (upon contract completion, value $2400.00)
