Seeking a reliable and enthusiastic BREAKFAST CHEF experienced in preparing breakfast for a high-end resort for the summer season. Must be able to work independently as well as be a part of a team. Time management, cleanliness, and the ability to accept direction essential. The BREAKFAST CHEF at Majestic will work with two-three other chefs (one Executive) and should expect to work in all areas of meal planning, food shopping, preparation, presentation, cooking, and serving. Your schedule will be dependent upon the number of guests booked in any given week, but a 40+ hour work week with a flexible schedule will be required. You will be responsible for cooking breakfast (mostly buffet) for 10-40 people on any given day, but weddings host up to 150. May be asked to work other shifts as needed.
The BREAKFAST CHEF is needed on May 24, 2026 or soon thereafter in order to open our kitchen on June 1. The position will end on or around September 19, 2026. You will be required to work 6 days a week or as needed. Hours/time of day will vary depending on the number of guests and guest's needs.
Ten weekend-long weddings are booked this summer in addition to tour groups and independent travelers daily.
We have employee lodging and meals and BOTH are FREE. Cell phone (AT&T) and great wifi access are both available at the lodge.
Our 7000 sq foot log lodge is located at a 3000-foot elevation between the Chugach and Talkeetna Mountain ranges. Look out the kitchen windows and see Dall sheep, moose, and bear traversing the mountains. There are 21 guest rooms and cabins. Local rafting and glacier trekking companies offer employee-free adventure excursions, and there is hiking right out the door. Staff from the other local businesses frequently have social gatherings here at Majestic or elsewhere.
