Little People's Learning Center is looking for a Teacher to join the team. This position may be primarily in the Infant or Toddler room, depending upon the Center's needs. Duties require taking care of children typically aged from four months to four years old. The Infant Room normally has 2-3 infants at a time and is connected to the rest of the Center. Infants and toddlers interact as infants become more independent. The staff is collaborative and will help each other when needed.

Primary duties include:

  1. Maintaining feeding or snack schedules

  2. Giving bottles, then baby foods as infants grow

  3. Diapering

  4. Maintaining nap schedules

  5. Stimulating play

  6. Reading

  7. Comforting children

  8. Leading curriculum-based activities and crafts that promote development

  9. Tidying the Center

  10. Communicating with other staff and parents

  11. Maintaining required certifications (CPR, State required education courses)

Little People's serves a small community. It's common to run into families we serve on the trails or around town. This creates a friendly place to live because we largely depend, or will depend, on each other at some point. The staff collaborates with each other to get the most out of the team and the children at the Center. Living in Yellowstone is a special experience because of the endless beauty and recreational options.

We are a non-profit organization which runs primarily on tuition from a working class community. Pay is $17.00 per hour subject to prior experience. Housing is available through the National Park Service. Little People's offers a housing stipend so that rent is 15% of a teacher's take-home pay.  The surrounding communities outside of National Park Boundaries have limited housing available, usually exceeding $1,200 a month for single room apartments.

Additionally, Little People's offers paid time off and contributions to a Health Savings Account.
