This is an exceptional opportunity for cooks who thrive in unique environments, love creating meaningful guest experiences, and want to work outside the realm of the traditional kitchen.
At Little Jennie Ranch, we treat guests to authentic Wyoming adventures—gorgeous horseback rides through the Bridger-Teton National Forest, single and multi-night stays at our 125-year-old gold miner’s camp (canvas wall tents and teepees), exclusive off-grid cabin experiences with a private chef and guide, and specialty events hosted at our beautiful working cattle ranch. We also host live cooking events at the summer Jackson Hole Town Square Farmers Market.
Every experience features Little Jennie Ranch Beef—raised with exceptional stewardship and prepared in-house with care and attention to detail. This is a true ranch-to-fork operation that showcases our land, livestock, and hospitality while delivering unforgettable experiences for both guests and staff. We also source from other local farms, ranches, and greenhouses to really show what Wyoming has to offer!
The Position
This role works directly with the Chef Manager as part of a tight-knit culinary team of three cooks. Team members rotate through all guest offerings so everyone participates in the full range of experiences—from backcountry meals to special events.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Organized and clean
Receptive to direction
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Excited about outdoor cooking and nontraditional kitchen environments
Some experience is required, and we are happy to train to our standards. However, candidates must have foundational kitchen skills and vocabulary, including:
Equipment knowledge
Food safety knowledge
Understanding of basic cooking techniques and terminology
Ability to communicate efficiently in a working kitchen
Please note: this role includes outdoor work, and exposure to weather is expected.
Season & Schedule
Season runs late May through November 1
Full-season commitment required
5–6 workdays per week (1–2 days off depending on guest schedule)
Opportunity for year-round employment and raises for the right candidate, as we host fall and winter guest experiences as well
If you’re looking for more than a kitchen job—if you want to cook in wild, beautiful places and be part of something truly special—this could be the right fit.
Little Jennie is located 45 minutes from Pinedale WY and Jackson Hole WY.
