Linekin Bay Resort welcomes everyone from solo travelers, couples, to multi-generational families seeking a relaxing and adventurous vacation at our oceanfront resort on Linekin Bay. What started as a girl's summer camp later became a family camp. With a century's worth of guests, many return year after year to this Maine coastal resort to make lasting memories.

LBR is located in Midcoast Maine on the point of a small peninsula 1 mile east of downtown Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

About Linekin Bay Resort

We strive to give our guests the best Maine vacation possible by providing quality services by our amazing staff. Our staff is diverse; they consist of locals, seasonal workers, and internship programs where we recruit from around the world.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for team members that are skilled in their area of expertise and contribute to creating a memorable experience.

Room and Board

We provide housing that is located on the property at a cost of $75/week (shared room) and $125/week (private room). There are no guarantees that an employee will have their own room.

Each unit is a 2-bedroom and 1-bathroom equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, hot plate stovetop, pots, pans, plates, silverware, glasses, bedding, and towels. In a separate unit is a full functioning kitchen, washer/dryer, along with tables and chairs for employees to hang out or eat dinner together. There are a couple picnic tables and a gas grill set up outside for employee use as well. All utilities are included with the weekly rent. We use Starlink for our Wi-Fi.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Having your own vehicle is encouraged but not required. We are only 1 mile from downtown Boothbay Harbor. The Rotary bike club will loan bikes for the season with a $100 deposit that will be returned as long as the bike is returned. There is also a trolley run by the town that runs from 9-5 every day and stops at LBR every hour. The trolley does a loop through town making multiple stops, one of which being the grocery store.

For Fun

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, hiking trails, kayak rentals, fishing, lakes for swimming, breweries. Downtown Boothbay Harbor is beautiful and has all sorts of shops and restaurants.

    Maintenance Assistant

    $16.00 - $20.00 / hour
    Boothbay Harbor

    The Maintenance Assistant supports the maintenance team in ensuring that facilities, equipment, and grounds are well-maintained, safe, and fully operational. This role assists with routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventative upkeep to provide a clean and functional environment for guests and staff.


    Key Responsibilities:
    • Assist with general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting

    • Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds

    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders

    • Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and repairs

    • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in an organized manner

    • Assist with seasonal projects such as landscaping, snow removal, or property upkeep

    • Identify and report safety hazards or repair needs

    • Work collaboratively with other departments to address facility needs

    • Follow all safety procedures and company policies


    Qualifications:
    • Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repair work, and tools

    • Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred

    • Ability to troubleshoot and solve basic mechanical issues

    • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

    • Good communication and teamwork skills

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently when needed

    • Valid driver’s license (if applicable)


    Preferred Skills:
    • Experience in hospitality, resort, or property maintenance

    • Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems

    • Basic landscaping or groundskeeping experience

    Guest Services

    Lead Housekeeper

    $20.00 - $25.00 / hour + tips
    Boothbay Harbor

    The Head Housekeeper oversees all housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and maintained to the highest standards. This leadership role manages housekeeping staff, coordinates daily workflows, and ensures an exceptional guest experience through attention to detail and efficiency.


    Key Responsibilities:
    • Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, including room attendants and public area staff

    • Inspect guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and brand standards are met

    • Create and manage daily staff schedules based on occupancy and operational needs

    • Train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping employees

    • Maintain inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities; coordinate ordering as needed

    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards

    • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns

    • Coordinate with front desk and maintenance teams to prioritize room readiness and repairs

    • Monitor productivity and implement improvements to enhance efficiency


    Qualifications:
    • Previous housekeeping experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role

    • Strong leadership and team management skills

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

    Food and Beverage

    Line Cook

    $20.00 - $24.00 / hour
    Boothbay Harbor

    We are seeking a reliable and skilled Line Cook to join our "LBR" kitchen team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains high standards of food quality and cleanliness, and works well as part of a team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines

    • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

    • Ensure food is prepared in a timely and consistent manner during service

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment

    • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

    • Assist with food prep, portioning, and inventory levels as needed

    • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team

    • Help with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred

    • Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

    • Strong attention to detail and consistency

    • Team-oriented with good communication skills

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand for long periods of time

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

    Sous Chef/Kitchen Supervisor

    $1,000.00 - $1,400.00 / week

    Position Summary:
    The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and safety standards are met. This role supports kitchen staff, coordinates service flow, and maintains a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.


    Key Responsibilities:
    • Supervise and support kitchen staff during food preparation and service

    • Ensure all food is prepared to recipe specifications, quality standards, and presentation guidelines

    • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

    • Assist with scheduling, training, and performance management of kitchen team members

    • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving supplies

    • Help control food costs by minimizing waste and ensuring proper portioning

    • Step into line positions as needed during busy service periods

    • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment


    Qualifications:
    • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a kitchen environment
