Ever wondered what it's like to wake up in Southeast Alaska, the San Juan Islands, or the Sea of Cortez — and call it your workplace? Lindblad Expeditions is looking for Stewards to join our US Fleet hotel team, delivering top-notch cabin and dining service to guests exploring some of North and Central America's most remote and spectacular coastlines. This isn't a typical hospitality job — it's a full-time, live-aboard role for people who want their work and their adventure to be the same thing.
The Details:
What: As a Steward, you'll clean guest and staff cabins, serve meals in the dining room, and rotate through galley duties like dishwashing and food prep. You'll be a visible, guest-facing presence throughout each voyage — professional, attentive, and steady even at the end of a long shift.
Who: We're looking for people with some food service or housekeeping experience, a strong work ethic, and a genuinely upbeat, team-first attitude. This role suits people who are self-sufficient, adaptable, and energized by close quarters and a tight-knit crew — not those looking for a lot of downtime or personal space.
Where: Aboard one of Lindblad Expeditions' US Fleet vessels, following the itinerary through the seasons: wrapping up the Southeast Alaska season, then on to British Columbia and the San Juan Islands, followed by Panama and Costa Rica (with occasional Colombia sailings), and finishing in Baja California Sur on the Sea of Cortez. You'll live and work on the vessel for the full length of your contract, with limited or no shore access between trips.
When: This is a seasonal, contract-based position hiring for Summer, Fall, and Winter. Shifts run 12 hours a day, every day, with some time off every 7–14 days for the duration of your 6-month contract.
How: You'll live in shared crew quarters (bunking with one or two roommates) and work as part of a rotating team covering cabin cleaning, food service, and galley support. Meals and lodging are provided while you're on contract, along with uniforms, travel expenses, and training.
Why: Because this job takes you to some of the most beautiful coastlines in the hemisphere — and pays you to be there. Beyond the $134–$139/day compensation, you'll get health insurance, travel benefits for you and your family, and the kind of once-in-a-lifetime experience that comes from working alongside a dedicated crew across four incredible regions in a single contract cycle.
