Seasonal Steward | Lindblad Expeditions
If your idea of a great season involves waking up in a different remote corner of the world every few days, and you thrive in a tight-knit crew environment where the work is real and the scenery is extraordinary, this might be exactly what you're looking for. Lindblad Expeditions is hiring Seasonal Stewards to join the hotel crew aboard our expedition vessels, and we want to be upfront: this role is genuinely demanding, and genuinely rewarding in equal measure.
What you'll do: Stewards handle guest cabin cleaning, dining room service, galley dishwashing, and food prep support — rotating through all of it across a 12-hour shift, every day, for the length of your contract. You'll be on your feet constantly, lifting up to 50 lbs, navigating steep stairs on a moving vessel, and maintaining a professional, guest-ready demeanor from your first hour to your last.
Who thrives here: People who are physically fit, adaptable, and genuinely energized by remote living and close crew quarters. This is not a resort job — it's an expedition. You'll bunk with crewmates, have limited cell and internet access underway, and stay aboard between trips. If that sounds like freedom rather than hardship, keep reading.
Where and when: Positions are based aboard vessels operating in domestic and international expedition routes. You live and work aboard ship for the full contract duration — room and board are fully covered.
Why Lindblad: We've been pioneering expedition travel since 1966 and partnered with National Geographic since 2004. The guests you'll serve are curious, adventurous, and deeply appreciative — and the places you'll see aren't on most people's bucket lists yet. Pay runs $134–$141/day (base rate plus a guaranteed $50/day tip minimum), with travel expenses paid and benefits for qualifying roles.
A valid US passport or valid passport and US permanent resident card are required. Full details and the application are one click away.
