Sitting at the base of Alyeska Resort, Jack Sprat is an independent restaurant serving a health conscious variety of world cuisines in a high-end casual setting.

We are seeking experienced candidates with a good attitude, strong work ethic and clean kitchen habits who are able to perform well in a fast paced environment.

Tip share increases hourly wage. $35 average per hour is normal.

Opportunities for advancement are available with positive work history on the job. You may learn food preparation and cooking or table service depending on open positions, length of commitment and skill set.

The culture of Jack Sprat is like a family. We enjoy the work and value our time off (four or five day work week).  Our progressive Tip Share includes the front and the back of the house equally which makes for great wages that are fairly distributed between all non-management players. Hourly plus tips averages $35 per hour. By appreciating everyone on the team, the result is a very positive attitude and team work throughout. There is room to learn new skills and play various roles if one desires and puts in the effort. We are looking for energetic people ideally with some experience, but if not, we can train you. If you are passionate about good food and service, you will find similar humans to work alongside. We have year-round and seasonal opportunities. Successful candidates will be team-oriented and thrive in an active setting.  Most shifts are swing/evening hours which allow for activities during the day like skiing or hiking.

Our service is six nights of dinner per week and we are considered casual fine dining. Jack Sprat is focused on fresh, local ingredients, like foraged berries and mushrooms, with global influences like fresh pasta and Korean bibimbap. Our scratch kitchen is known for healthy alternatives, accommodating special diets, serving private parties, and creating a fun nightly dining atmosphere. The restaurant is nestled in the Chugach Mountains offering lots of recreational opportunities.

Some housing is available by request. If you are applying from out of state, you would fly into Anchorage, Alaska.
We provide transportation to and from Anchorage.
