Wildlife Expert — Guest Presenter

Holland America Line | Alaska Season 2026 Season: April 25 – October 3, 2026

Ships: Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Westerdam, Zaandam

Holland America Line is seeking Wildlife Experts for the 2026 Alaska cruise season. If you're a naturalist, wildlife guide, tour operator, or work in Alaska's outdoor tourism industry and have experience presenting to groups, we want to hear from you.

This role puts you in front of guests every day as their go-to expert on Alaska's remarkable wildlife, ecosystems, and natural history — from humpback whales and orcas to bald eagles, harbor seals, and the rich landscapes of the Inside Passage. You'll deliver educational presentations, lead wildlife spotting on deck, and help guests connect with one of the most extraordinary natural environments on the planet.

This is a shipboard Guest Presenter position — you sail on a guest manifest with a guest cabin. As part of your contract, all meals are provided with full access to guest dining, lounges, fitness center, and pool decks when you're off the clock. Contracts run under 30 days, and multiple contracts are available throughout the season for the right candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver educational wildlife and natural history presentations to large audiences

  • Lead wildlife spotting and scenic narration sessions on deck during key viewing periods

  • Identify and interpret wildlife, marine life, and regional ecosystems for guests

  • Engage guests in both scheduled programming and informal interactions

  • Collaborate with the onboard Entertainment and Shore Excursions teams

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Alaska wildlife, marine life, and regional ecosystems

  • Experience presenting or interpreting for large groups

  • Strong communication skills — clear, engaging, and comfortable with diverse audiences

  • Background in marine biology, wildlife biology, environmental science, natural history, or a related field preferred

  • Prior experience as a naturalist, guide, expedition staff, or enrichment presenter a plus

  • Age 21+, valid passport, ability to pass background check and medical clearance
