Prepare, season, and cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts in restaurant based on approved recipes. May order supplies, keep records and accounts, prepare Daily Prep List, conduct weekly inventories, Complete food production based on Prep List. Plus scheduled overtime at time and a half and end of season bonus, details provided during interview.

Responsible for planting, development, organization and operation of onsite kitchen garden. Conducts presentation of daily Kitchen Science Alaska tour program. Supervise Restaurant and Garden staff.

Utility: Complete job description provided prior to interview. Using Dish Machine and 3 hole sink scrape & clean dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment, or utensils, and remove trash. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and general upkeep of interior and exterior of restaurant. Perform a variety of food preparation duties assisting with cooking, such as chopping vegetables, preparing cold foods and seafoods, slicing meat, and simple baking tasks. Plus end of season bonus, details provided during interview. Requires: State of Alaska Food Handlers Card (easily obtained).
Room Attendant / Laundry
Room Attendant: complete job description provided prior to interview. Perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain private guest rooms and public spaces at the Inn, in a clean and orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, operating laundry machines, folding laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning and servicing bathrooms. This job is based on rooms occupancy and usually 6 - 6 hour days or 36 hours per week.

After the initial screening, there is likely to be a 20-minute job interview conducted over Zoom (or similar). Should we offer you a job, it will come in the form of an offer of employment letter that details the start and stop date, job title, pay rate, and details on housing. The letter also includes a hiring packet collecting all the details we need to make a binding job offer and set up your pay record. Usually the offer is valid for about a week or so.
