Come be part of the history...the oldest operating hotel in the state of Montana, located in the Birthplace of Montana, Fort Benton. Where History meets Hospitality! Located on the banks of the Missouri River in Central Montana...a charming, "real Montana" town! We're picking up speed every week as we head towards our Season and a fast-paced Summer.

We are seeking experienced Line Cook(s) who aspire to advance in his/her area of expertise to round out our Kitchen staff! This position includes housing, and could turn into a year-round position if the fit is right. In the Summer our hotel is full and we entertain guests from all over the world. The Union Grille is known regionally for its impeccable menu and atmosphere...farm to table, local ingredients. 

Our Executive Chef has 30 years of experience in the industry, trained at the CIA in New York, and most recently ran the kitchens at the Chattanoogan in Tennessee! He runs a smooth kitchen with precision and high quality/expectations, working alongside his staff, wearing many hats required in a small kitchen in a tourist town. We have a lot of fun, with a familial atmosphere, but are also committed to high standards that set us apart in the dining and hospitality scene! 

Housing is a 1 bedroom/1 bath updated basement apartment (in a home with one other tenant on the ground floor), located a short 10-minute walk from the hotel. It's fully furnished and equipped, including its own laundry, a good-sized eat-in kitchen and large living room.  An awesome space to spend the Summer, located one block from the Missouri River, where you'll find a great 3 mile walking path through town that takes you over the oldest bridge in Montana! It's charming and serene! 

We are the oldest operating hotel in Montana at 143 years old! We have 26 rooms & a 50 seat fine-dining restaurant that expands to a patio in the Summer. Guests from all over the World visit us. The owners are 4 years into ownership, and native Montanans with a passion for hospitality! We are located in Central Montana along the banks of the Missouri River; "Big Sky Country" was named for this area...with huge vistas surrounded by several mountain ranges nearby. Great Falls is 40 miles away. We’re right between Glacier and Yellowstone (3-4 hours), making it easy to get out and explore on your days off!
